Weirdly, this now makes me more likely to buy him. I hate asymmetrical Transformers with weird hands.

What makes you think they won't integrate them into the transformation?

Fingers crossed for an easy install.

Biggest obstacle to this is how difficult the original hands are to uninstall.

Are the hands not on a mushroom peg? None of SWL's stuff has ever taken more than a minute to put in.

The hands (And thumb) are in fact pinned through.

Do they fold back? It appears he has a wrist adapter.

    (I obviously don't own him)

Blackout is a nigh impossible bastard to disassemble in general. Virtually every major joint is pinned through. It's only a few small folding panels that are friction clipped in. A complete layman will probably only be able to detach his biceps, thighs, and a few random bits of kibble.

Yeah he isn't going to be an easy install if it means replacing the original wrists as even to punch out the pin, there isn't much clearance i think (don't have it in front of me).
It looks like these wrists just clip on with the original wrists likely folded in, and that is why i questioned it's ability to transform and store away in vehicle mode. Some people probably don't care about that but i do in regards to all upgrade pieces for one mode carry over and can at least store somewhere in alt mode.

I am checking mine and comparing it with the pictures. It seems you are right. It looks like a wrist adapter. There's enough space on the arms once you bend the original hands.

In the translation of one of the comments on that page /\ it seems it doesn't go anywhere in vehicle mode. Lame.
Maybe ill just keep the hands hanging off back there in vehicle mode anyway. Eh...

It almost looks like the original hands are folded in and then these new hands are pegged on. I could be totally off, but that seems to be the only logical way given that Blackouts hands are pinned on.
