Oh fuck no to that Transformers Bible bullshit, thats one of the things that ruined TLK's continuity.

This is encouraging to me. It's great to hear that Knight is taking feedback and making some adjustments to make this movie successful.

I'm intrigued too at the fact that this movie is a stand alone. It doesn't surprise me but it definitely makes it a more viable option to create a brand new, rebooted cinematic universe.

Also curious what's inside this Hasbro Transformers bible. Hopefully Knight looked through it and was able to maintain continuity throughout the film. And hopefully all future directors will follow those same rules and guidelines. The problem that TLK and a lot of the Bay films has was that too many ideas were pursued without any proper rules to the universe. It was just, "This is a cool thing in Transformers mythology, throw it in!"

We don't know for sure but hopefully Knight was a little more tactful than that in what he borrowed from.

The robot cast will be limited and the movie will be a stand alone story.
    So what else is new?

Yeah, I'm 95% sure that brand Bible is the Aligned Continuity. I hope he strays away from that as I'm not a huge fan of the heavy push of fantasy-like aspects.

Based on the b.s in the film and in the behind the scenes featurette, it IS the fucking aligned continuity. Hasbro knows shit about their own products.

Isn’t every TF live action film stand alone? Partially the reason why continuity is so jacked up in these films?

Unless somebody at Hasbro cobbled together a bible we don't know about - which, frankly, ANYBODY could do for a f***ing fraction of the time and cost Hasbro spent just by cracking open any of the profile books published in the past two decades (Dreamwave, DK, IDW, etc.) and pulling up TFWiki - I think it's both extremely hilarious and deeply pathetic that Hasbro is trying to salvage the train wreck by making Paramount stare at it. I mean, I suppose I can understand wanting to try to vindicate spending $250K on what has basically amounted to a glorified couch leg, but c'mon.

The Brand Bible? Oh... so is that what Hasbro's new hands-on involvement with Paramount movies is going to consist in?

All anyone needs is some time spent watching G1, Beast Wars, and reading the Marvel comics. Maybe Dreamwave's amazing work on G1.

Anything after that just started feeding off of the past and requires a bit of understanding of these fundamental stories. Many post-Beast Era TF stories are excellent, but the mythology starts getting confused for outsiders after RID (Car Robots), Unicron Trilogy, Prime, and the Bay movies.

Yeah and two transformer movie sequels back to back made over billion that does suck to be transformer be proud and also be proud of what no cartooon and comic books could have done over years is movies made new people who don’t watch cartoons and do not read comic books movies turned those people into transformers generation one cartooon was good but it was also mess humans on cybertron with no space suits on able breath out in space and not float away, hound alien robot breath in space need air mask to save drowning spike, how many times did prime die in cartoon series tow maybe three, which decepticon in animated movie got reformatted into cyclonus, my favorite powerglide riding carousel two times size smaller than he is made of wood not breaking under 2000 pound robot while he was sitting on it in episode of power glide heart

Cybertron is a planet and therefore would have enough gravity that you wouldn't just float away and it'd probably have oxygen due to it's purpose as a factory and trade center.

I'm sorry. I want to give this movie a chance and hope that they can salvage this universe and build off of this movie as sort of a soft reboot. But with knight saying it's a prequel to the first movie just means nothing of the past 5 movies will be rectified and the continuity issues will still go on. And with like every other movie, reading the famous line of it's connected but also a stand alone movie makes me cringe so bad. We see how well that worked for every other movie.

So it's a stand alone movie, but still connected to the others? I'm confused...
