Time to get this done and dusted.

Then it’s nothing but Transformers left, after Rom & the Micronauts concludes the week after this.

Its strange how as a G1 fan I can accept a wolf called Snarl and a dragon called Scourge in Cybertron but can't accept completely new and unrelated redesigns for the Visionaries. This will always be Mortdred for me. Not that guy above.

This is almost like those Garfield without Garfield comic edits, except without any Transformers instead.

If this is what we have to look forward to in IDW Phase 3, I’m okay.

I think Gridman and Promare will be enough mecha for me, maybe with a dash of Zoids:Wild.

Who knows, maybe they'll surprise us all and end on a high note. I think it's rude to judge a comic before... sorry, sorry, I thought I could get through that with a straight face. No, this comic's going to be terrible, but hey, at least it's the last one.

I haven't touched this series yet. Is there any reason to outside of the Kup thing?

Once you're past the stupid Kup shock death that editorial forced into it, it's a pretty middle-of-the-road mini-series. Not actively bad, but doesn't really distinguish itself in any way either. Probably the biggest positive is the lovely Fico Ossio art.

I will say that the title is kind of a misnomer. This is definitely "Visionaries, guest-starring the Transformers", rather than a true equal-parts crossover like Rom vs. Transformers. Like the shock death, the title is definitely a case of editorial employing cheap tactics in order to get more eyes on the series.

It's complete garbage, but Thrustinator is in it, so go read it immediately.

    By Primus!

I loved the Visionaries show! Glad to see that the influence of Marvel in the media and other companies bring us all these x-overs

Well this has nothing to do with the TV show other than the names being the same.

No, no, this comic makes garbage look good.

There are terrible, poorly drawn, poorly written comics that I love. This book is just... BAD. I'm not super familiar with Mags Visaggio, but from this mini I can safely say that she has no business being in the comics industry. She has to be related to someone. She has set the bar to a new low.

The preview looks terrible. I'm so glad this travesty is going to be over soon.

To be fair. The art of this mini has been downright fantastic. I think the reason I keep coming back and buying these is simply because the art is just damn good. Whomever the artist is, he/she needs to be kept on after they show Mags the door.

What @Jalaguy said, it’s really... eh. The Transformers are more so side characters rather then equal partners, and for anyone you who’s a huge Visionaries fan, it’s practically an insult to the source material.

Getting ready for that torture porn I see, ya submissive boiz.

Well, this comic was already torture porn from the start, but that\'s besides the point.

And the Transformers part has something to do with the G1 show?

Don't expect something different for other Hasbro brands...

the writing is more Basic than a white girl snapchatting her starbucks latte
the art is only just above the bar of absolute garbage set by Livio Ramondelli.
the executive decision that led it it's creation was a worse idea than having turning Tolkien's shortest book into 3 goddamned movies.
the execution was more forced than the Bill Cosby joke I decided against using here.

yes i've probably been one of the most vocal critics of the "Hasbroverse" but even I can admit when's it's done well.
Rom vs TF: Shining Armor was good. (Alex Milne's art was amazing)
Revolutionaries did a fantastic job of weaving the disparate items into a cohesive story, mostly due to John Barber being a damned Continuity Ninja. and captured the exact kind of "toybox fun" that Revolution failed to do.

and setting up this crossover kneecapped the ending of First Strike, which was actually doing a decent job as a Character piece centered on Scarlett and Joe Colton and shaping up as a pretty unique take on Human/Cybertron relations, i dont think we've ever seen what happens when the Humans invade the Giant Robot's planet. but then the plot shit the bed with Krieger suddenly being a wizard with no fucking buildup. (I was actually enjoying what I saw of Krieger in Revolutionaries) there is no storytelling concept more HACKNEYED than "a wizard did it", especially in fiction that up until that moment, had no fucking wizards in it.

TF vs Visionaries............it isn't just Garbage, it's Medical Waste from a 3rd world country.
we could have had more Issues of TAAO.

Ironhide looks like cartoon Ironhide, Wheeljack looks like cartoon Wheeljack; they're the same characters in a different continuity. Not exactly but they're recognisable enough. The Visionaries are different characters in a different continuity. They're not recognisable at all.
