Total surprise because this wasn’t listed the prior week. Optimus Prime #17 AND 18, plus Lost Light #17.  

 

Is that list usually accurate? Because the individual catalog entries say something else.

I like to think yes. I tend to find the individual pages less reliable.

 

I swear by Midtown Comics' list and I'm going to roll with you. I think only Optimus Prime #17 comes out next Wed.

This doesn't align with any other source I can find. Weird.

I usually go off of ComicList's extended forecast, which currently has no release date for OP #18-20, which is pretty rare. It is a week old though, so who knows what's going on.

 

Granted I’m starting to have doubts myself. I’ve rarely seen Previewsworld screwup so badly, so this would be a first.

 

I'm pretty certain we haven't seen previews for any of these yet, so having them all drop next week seems pretty unlikely. I'm guessing someone messed up.

 

The individual pages haven't been wrong since I've started looking at Previewsworld for upcoming releases, so I'm inclined to believe they're right, and that we're only getting OP next week, which makes my wallet happy since next week is Action Comics 1000.

 

Looking forward to LL but not surprising that all the hype built up for Liege Maximo only for him to be a whipped government mule who was caught off panel is just more disappointment that comes with the rushed villain of the week/arc style that this book is known for.

I'll just read the synopsis on wiki before doing anything further with that book.

 

It feels like ages since we have had a tf comic so I'll take what I can get next week.

 

Two weeks does feel like ages – especially since the last thing we got was Transformers vs. Visionaries. Remember when we used to get one Transformers comic a month? How did we ever survive?

 

For what it's worth, comiXology currently has OP #17 pegged for next week, and then OP #18 and LL #17 on the 25th.

iTunes previews seemed to have changed recently so that they go up just one week before the issue comes out, rather than two weeks.

Which of course makes them kinda pointless now, since it means they're only out a few days ahead of the five-page full previews.

 

It’s worth mentioning though that comiXology always list the last Wednesday of the month for comics that don’t yet have a proper release date. In reality, my guess is it’ll be at least the following week before we see OP #18. LL #17 could be the 25th though. It does often drop on the last Wednesday of the month (when it’s not hopelessly delayed that is).

 

I've noticed that once it gets within three/four (not exactly sure) weeks of the last Wednesday of the solicited release month and they still don't have a proper release date, comiXology update the placeholder date to the last Wednesday of the next month.

So if they were still unsure on when OP #18 and LL #17 were coming out, they'd have changed their placeholder dates to 30th May by now.

 

You know what would be cool is if the companies that make the comic books and the companies that distribute the comic books actually knew when they were releasing the comic books.

 

Indeed. Either way can't wait for next issues. The final run in.
