Time to move on and change the direction. It is just sad they had lot of plans and last movie buried it all.

The changing of the guard. An infusion of fresh blood is just what this franchise needs. Something to bring it into the modern comic book movie era. Brighter colors, recognizable designs, and memorable personalities.

As more and more people are leaving Paramount who had a hand in the Transformers films thus far, it only makes more sense for them to launch a complete reboot, because then that gives them absolute and total creative control on a blank slate to start over from scratch.

I know people want resolution to the second trilogy but that is an investment that Paramount just can't justify, especially when everybody involved with that garbage fire known as The Last Failure is leaving the company. And creative direction from one team being carried out by another just doesn't ever work out - not even Disney is really sticking true to Walt and the original Imagineer vision of say, Epcot, which is turning into just another IP ride dump.

He should\'ve left ages ago, at this point no matter where he goes: he\'s still a scumbag like everyone else involved. Regardless, the studio itself deserves to die or get bankrupt for this 8 year atrocity of a series.

Hey im upset at how Transformers was handled but I don't wish any ill will towards those involved. But I'm happy to hear that we might get a chance at getting a director who's passionate about Transformers, instead of the likes of Bay.

I fail to see how this is sad news. Good riddance, IMO.

At this point I really won’t mind if Transformers live action movies ended up with Disney.

It's probably going to happen with an a̶c̶c̶u̶s̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ acquisition of Paramount anyways. Paramount isn't doing too well and it's going to be a miracle if they manage to sustain theirselves.

Seems like paramount is a sinking ship and everybody is bailing. Hasbro needs to do the same thing.

$500 million lost from TLK. Chinese investors got pissed and pulled out. Not really in hasbro’s long term interest to partner with paramount.

Right, that's why Hasbro tried to buy Lionsgate I believe.

But I doubt that Hasbro will go to the Mouse, so who else even is there for Transformers films other than Paramount/Universal?

It's not too late for the franchise to rejoin Marvel and enter the MCU. We can just start a petition to convince Hasbro to let Disney buy them.
