Thanks to our team at Hascon 2017, we have some great Power Of The Primes Dinobot Combiner Volcanicus Prototype In-Hand Pictures.

The Prototype was shown during the event and we can see some nice features of the combined figure:

*It has compatible Combiner Wars combination ports.
    *New molded hands.
*New molded feet with articulated ankñes (Similar to the ones on CW Computron).
*Two extra hands can be placed in the torso for a bulkier look.
*Nice poseability, similar to previous CW combiners.

You can click on the link below to see the gallery:

    Unfortunate placement.

Sludge should just be an arm, he doesn\'t look good as a leg.

I was just going to say the same thing. Sludge may be better as an arm.

I dont understand why he has the huge dumb hands and the tiny midget feet..

They had finally got it right with computron/ victorion. Why screw it up now?

    Hello Perfect Effect....

The shoulders are so wide it creates a really oddly proportioned look. The individual modes look pretty nice but this is one of my least favorite combined modes. Maybe the Dinobot's forms just don't lend themselves well to combination.

Grimlocks legs look alot like the same shape as the CW Optimus/Menasor, but Hun Grr looks like Silverbolt but apparently thats 100% new mold according to Warden so who knows

Probably never, given that at this point Hasbro is just talking about Generation and ignoring movie, Rid or Cyberverse future toylines.
but there is a panel at 3 pm EST anyway.

The dinobots are too small , sludge looks a bit off, and the combiner looks awkward. But, who am I kidding. It's a instant buy anyway. Worst case scenario, the kids now have dinobots to play with. Or I can scale them with legends stuff.

Those hips look like they may be a real problem if the joints aren't tight.

I'm stoked for Power of the Primes, and I think the Dinobots look okay to decent, but this thing is ridiculous.
They should have focused on giving us 5 leader class figures with 2 solid modes a piece. Spread them out over the course of the line. Everyone would have been thrilled with that.

Y'know, putting an extra set of hands on the torso to make it look better just screams laziness to me.

Y'all wanted a Dinobot combiner, the ToyWorld one was as unstable as early TFC combiners, then you get mad at the official one...

    Oh Transfandom, never change.

Maybe he'll look better in color, but the draw here is the first official G1 Dinobots since the originals. The combined mode is just a bonus.

I hear you. It is an odd choice to begin with. Though I understand that Grimlocks modes do not lend well for being a torso. Also looking at these pictures it seems his left shoulder came lose dangling around. Another thing is that from the back " I know nobody poses their bots facing the wall" he is a mess. Everything just hanging about with gaps. Unlike with Superion or Defensor. Even Menasor does not have these blatant issues on the rear of its combined form.

It's early to judge, the prototype can't seem to hold together enough to provide a good look of what the combined form should exactly look like, but it looks like it could be either pretty good or pretty bad.

He will look better in color, just hope he does not disintegrate before I let him go on the shelf. That is the concern. Also it is a toy for kids as well. It should hold together. And I doubt it does that well.
