Those Megatron and Unicron pics are beautiful. Shame the quality isn't so great.

 

The tank guys are awesome. I hope red party takes a stab at them. The idea of having a transformable Mk. IV tank and A7V tank would be awesome.

What happened to that movie? I would have loved that better than the final battle above middle of nowhere England.

 

Wow. A fight in and above Paris, an actual fight between Onslaught and Drift (referencing a piece on concept art from an older post). In the case of Transformers 5, it really does seem like the concept art is better than the actual film itself.

The cannon sticing out of the tankbot\'s gut, gives me a G1 Megatron toy idea.

Of course, given that Megatron hates humans yet ends up working with them, I could see that being him.

 

It needed more back story of Primus and Unicron. Id have liked it if Bulldog wouldve told the story about Bee and Hot Rod fighting in the war. One line. \"Shit, my bits are falling off.\" Just in case anyone couldnt figure out he was old, as if the alt-mode didnt give it away. Please. Then he transforms back without a single sound. Terrible editing. Hated Mohawk. Another useless stereotypical character. I think Reno Wilson would have been better as Brains. Have he and Wheelie re-unite.. why not?

I would think Warpath would immediately spring to mind rather then G1 Megatron.

 

And lots of bullshit make the way to movie. Like everything from Cuba.

I think this movie waste a lot of potencial.

So much wasted potential for this movie.
We could have gotten Megatron terrorizing France, but instead we an annoying little brat and her R2-D2 ripoff.

 

Wait, why do we have characters with WW1 tank alt modes if the film only flashes back to WW2? Well, nevermind. If the A7V bot were evil, he'd be a good movieverse Jackpot. Yeah, Action Master Jackpot, but as a tank.

Also, I can't comment that much since I haven't seen the movie, but there does seem to be much wasted potential.

 

This. This quote sums up my feelings about the live-action movie series in a nutshell. Movies with good ideas, but crap execution.

Think about it. Excusing the first movie (looking back, even if you can see a lot of the elements that became unbearable in later instalments, I concede that it was pretty much the best Transformers movie we could have gotten from the director and writers that ended up attached to it), this whole series if chock full of ideas that a great creative team could have made gold out of, but with Micheal Bay at the the helm, ended up being an afterthought at best, and completely wasted at worst. Most likely a result of the evident fact that the Transformers themselves seem to be the parts of these movies that Bay seems the least interested in.

Hopefully, with the Last Knight's disappointing performance, Paramount will put someone else in the director's chair, and Michael Bay can finally go off and make the movies he's actually interested in making.
