Sounds cool. I hope the engineering is more 'Lego' than it is 'Constructbots'.

    Sure looks that way.

I'll pass on this I like transformer kreo commercials but I shouldn't have take pieces off and place them in different places to make vehicles or giant alien robot lego transformer should be able to transform other wise it's just lego mini lego sets that I saw at ToysRus build truck, boat, and robot all in one set maybe I expect to much from it but that's how I imagine transformers lego sets to be

Similar to Combiner Force, what if this ends up as RID (201X) Season 4?

Unlikely. The name doesn't fit for a subtitle. Beast Hunters and Combiner Force had a certain subtitle appeal. Read this one out loud "Transformers Robots In Disguise Season 4 Cybertronics". See?

The whole "Buildable" part and the "Tronics" part makes me think that this is for a Lego Technics kind of a line. A follow-up line to Kre-O.

Additionally, judging by the fact that this was filed following the Bumblebee movie logo means we'll probably see this around early or mid-2018.

They keep trying and failing at this. They aren't going to beat Lego at their own game, as much as it must burn them to be behind them.

I'm glad the name was explained to us... :lol

They aren't going to beat them, but I have no doubt that they could get close. Take Mega Bloks for example. Their sales are no where near Lego's, but their quality has been improving quite a bit lately. Their plastic and design quality are getting pretty close to being on par with Lego, honestly.

I have to wonder if isn't this is something like a Mech-Alive or Mech-tech gimmick for the Bee movie.

We heard a rumor that Power of the Prime's gimmick was going to be some sort of app or game based "Toy-to-Life" scenario, maybe this is the name they'll use for the process/feature.

I think with a lot of their themes like CoD or Halo they are on par or sometimes better than Lego. Lego is always child friendly in their designs. Compare a CoD vehicle vs a Lego city or SW vehicle. The CoD vehicle looks like a model or realistic. The Lego one while looking good, still looks like a toy.

Yup. Mega has more variety to its styles and designs than Lego, which sort of keeps most everything similar.

*sigh* Another "buildable Transformers" line. They're really not learning that this doesn't work, are they? When they can design a buildable figure that looks good in both modes and can transform from one mode to another without having to take it apart first, then I'll take it seriously. Until that day, Hasbro can cram this back where it came from, ad infinitum.

The only way to get better would be to keep trying.

There was another one before all those called Built to Rule, around the Energon Era iirc.

Remember when people said Armada Hotshot couldn't get any worse, and Transformers couldn't get any worse than Armada Hotshot?

    BTR achieved both.
