Now that should have been the new movie Prime design. It's a nice mix of classic Prime and the movie Prime while still retaining a detailed solid truck look.

Though that jetpack is overkill and honestly, it ruins the statue for me.

Wow, another statue series of blended G1-movie designs.

    Exciting.

At least this is the best looking one so far.

I just happen to prefer this look over his previous movie incarnations. I have nothing against his current design (well, I'd love to see more truck parts but what's done is done).

Another hyper-expensive, non-transforming statue of Movieverse Optimus Prime. Just what the world needs...

Sorry for the negative post; I just couldn\'t help myself. I does look good though.

"The description of the product is as follows:

'Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost'"

    ...That's a hardcore description.

Well, those guns sure are nice. Might try to replicate them and give them to my Leader Prime to put in his Weapons Ring. (I'll own one... soon...)

Now I do tend to roll my eyes at everyone who says this or that design "should've been what he looked like from the start" just because it's more G1, but I definitely do agree that I'd much rather we'd have gotten something like this over his Age of Extinction design since this one has... you know, actual truck kibble, and we would likely have gotten a good toy of it on the first try.

Looks very cool. I can't wait to see the prototype - maybe a SDCC reveal?

I do not own any expensive Transformers statues, but I think its awesome that Prime1, arguably the best in the business, puts so much focus on Transformers and offers such a breadth of characters and designs. So many brand properties are not paid the slightest attention for collectibles such as these, or you get only the top couple characters (think He-man and Skeletor). I don't get the hate. As Transformers collectors, we're lucky to have the collectible options that we have available to us.

i'm just not getting these statues that have no basis in anything: i'd think, if i were into expensive statues, i'd want truly iconic representations of the characters, be that G1 prime, Movie Prime, Armada Prime, whatever. bizarre hybrid G1-Movie Prime or G1 Prime wearing Starscream's wings because reasons just make no sense to me....

(on the flip side, a toyline that reimagined some Movie/G1 hybrids could be kinda cool)

Fair enough, but I see someone saying that every time there's a more detailed version of a G1 design revealed and I've seen so many people say they don't like the most cool or interesting parts of toys/statues (in this case, the Jetpack). Plus, considering his new design was meant to look knightly, this wouldn't have worked, even if they wanted something more G1.

The point is to take advantage of statues being able to have heavier amounts of detail than toys by working more detail into G1 designs and to make them look more modern.

If we're considering the medieval aspects of this film, then you're right—this design wouldn't have worked. I still think they could have done better like with Sentinel's design as he has somewhat of a knight look while retaining his vehicle parts. Maybe I'm biased as I've always preferred more of the blocky designs (like Sentinel), but I still think they could have done better.

And regarding the jetpack, it adds more cost to figure without actually adding anything interesting to the actual statue. Again, it's all a preference thing.

I think this looks pretty cool. I'm not into statues, so I won't be getting it, but it's a very cool looking design.

Although ultimately superfluous, it looks nice and detailed but what exactly is the origin of this version of Prime? Surely its not Jetwing Prime from Revenge of the Fallen.

Can't really disagree with you on the lack of truck parts on the AOE design. Something closer to Sentinel would've been better, even if I get why they're going for more human-like designs. I definitely disagree with the Jetpack, since I think it's cool seeing a mostly G1 OP with a big jet pack, but your opinion is your opinion. I just see that sort of sentiment a lot. Guess my opinion is also helped by the fact that these statues are out of my price range, with or without jetpacks, so I don't really care if one statue happens to be more too expensive than the other too expensive statues.
