Several new RID Warrior Class figures listed at Walmart, courtesy of Allspark member NightViper. From a subsequent post, we also have the UPC barcodes, which in turn tell us that several of those listings are simply old figures in new packaging, namely the original green version of Grimlock, the "Gold Armor Grimlock" redeco and Night Ops Bumblebee.

That leaves five listings, four of which we've seen CG renders of. One figure is completely new... although it's probably going to be a redeco.

Based on the RID cartoon, Thermidor is probably going to be a redeco of Bisk.

Based on how the UPC numbers are grouped, it would appear that Blurr and Skywarp will ship in one wave and Twinferno, Bludgeon and Thermidor in the subsequent wave.

 

Bring on the big blue lobster.

So does that mean the next wave will be Blurr, Skywarp and repacks? Then 2017 wave 3 is Bludgeon, Twinferno, Thermidor. Where does that leave Soundwave?

 

Wonder if there will be any remolding at all, or just a straight-up redeco like Scatterspike.

 

They really need to stop repacking older figures into the newer waves.  

 

Seriously, Bisk is my FAVORITE figure this year. I just love everything about him. So you tell me we could be getting Thermidor? You bet your sweet ass I want that right now. Robot Lobsters for life!

Yes, More decepticons. there are roughly 30ish Alchemor prisoners who dont have toys yet or only have legions.

correction, they need to stop prioritizing the repacks over the new toys. Stormshot, Blastwave, and Candycane Drift are one per case. vs Grimlock and Strongarm being 2 per case. reverse those numbers and I'd be happy.

The 2 year old Grimlocks and Strongarms from wave 1 are still pegwarming at my TRU.

 

That Grimlock is so small too unless you are using him with the Scout sized Weaponiser toys.
I can't figure out why they didn't decide to make a Black Strong Arm instead of the blue one again - heck perhaps even change her colour in the cartoon.

Also why no desert camo toys like a sandy Windblade or a Bumblebee that uses the Japanese revised mould and is actually Blue for example ?

That is cool. I am still hoping that we get an Underbite and Clampdown. Probably too late for new season 1 molds but the line has continued to surprise me.

 

I think I like the concept of calling a blue repaint of a lobster character Thermidor even more than I like Bisk. This is definitely making both characters even funnier for me for both to get a toy.
You can just picture the Hasbro meeting...

"Okay, we need a repaint for Bisk"
"Who from G1 can we repurpose the mold as?"
"Nautilator? We could call him Snaptrap instead I guess."
