Saw the post from Cybertron.ca. Bumblebee was found at a local TRU in Vancouver, BC.

Retails for CAD$119.99. Ouch!

I'm hoping the yellow is better than TT's version.

... other than the TRU listing months ago, this has gotten absolutely no announcement whatsoever. Huh.

Will totally get it if it ever goes on extreme sale. $120 is fucking robbery.

Also, is it just me or did this kinda sneak up on us? Like I knew it was coming, but all I've heard before this was a computer listing.

 

So aside from leaks and TRU listings this is the first we've seen of this, right? If the price is reasonable (and if I can actually find it at my local TRU) I might have to pick this up.

 

Do these figures typically make it to the TRU website? I've seen other MP figures there, but wasn't sure if that is always the case.

 

In my experience they aways do, but it really depends how long they stay up.

Bee though, at this price, I doubt will move at all.

 

Honestly Hasbro when its cheaper to import the Takara release with the 3rd party mark up you've got a problem.

 

Looks like they did away with the embossed Autobot logo on the chest (probably better as the paint kept rubbing off that).

Also did they give him two side-mirrors?

Looks hilariously close to ambitron's photoshop attempt at what it was going to look like



 

 

Ha; just realized that the packaging art has him mistransformed; they didn't fold that flap out of the way into the chest.

 

Hoping that the figure inside is a brighter yellow than the TT.... If it's not I'll be happy keeping the TT one.

 

It's TRU that's setting this price, no doubt. It really begs the question of who they think will actually buy these at that price.

Are they friggin mad?

I mean MP Bluestreak and Prowl cost far less and they're bigger than Bee.

 

Hasbro didn't waste any time getting this on the shelf.. It's bizarre how it's just, bam, out there like a dollar store legends repack.

 

Just goes to show you hasbro/toysrus have no idea what they are doing. its like the demand of the last transformer released determines the price of the next. Soundwave sold great, raise the price on Acid Storm and Sunstorm. They do meh lower the price on Grimlock. He sells well, overcharge on Streak and prowl. They then shelfwarm so Starscreams price is reduced. Starscream sells out raise the price for Bee. Pray the next release is a Mp-11 mold or Ultra Magnus

 

That's a disappointment, I was hoping for a more lemony yellow than the cheddar colour that Takara chose for Bumblebee.

 

That crotchflap makes me laugh as that's exactly how I had him the first few times around.
If there's two side mirrors, same thing. I had no idea Beetles only have one mirror so I pushed the pin farther for a second mirror before realizing one was backwards.
