Looks really nicely proportioned so far. Hope he isn't massively big.  

 

Is this yet another non-transforming Optimus?

 

If its an official licensed product not made by hasbro or takara, it most likely won't transform.

Looks cool though.

 

You have to wonder how many of these do we really need? Wouldn't it just be nice to get great Optimus figures from Hasbro that actually transform?

 

Is this supposed to be FOC Optimus? While a non-transforming figure with tons of diecast would be cool, I'd prefer a transforming one, and preferably with the WFC design instead.

 

I don't care if it transforms, but another Optimus? Come on...

 

If it transforms and it's not stupidly expensive I'm all in.

 

Did you really expect anyone else? Optimus is their biggest (and by now most worn out) cash cow the franchise has. If any other character is next, odds are it would be a) Bumblebee b) Megatron, or c) Starscream

 

So sick of Optimus and the other regulars.

The only way to build the profile of the other characters is to actually use and merchandise them.

Pumping out 100's of Prime, Bee, Megs and Starscream only results in more of the same because you don't build up any new fanbase.

 

Could someone please do a G1 cartoon MP scaled non-transforming Megatron? Making a Prime that doesn't transform isn't even necessary, although cool for the people who want it.

 

Does it transform? If not, why get this instead of the Planet X version? Its like the high grade non transforming optimus toys that look like mp10 (except mp10 is fully transformable with more accessories at a lower cost even though its also got diecast parts). Whats the point?

 

I have a "no transformation = no sale" rule for myself, but I might break it for what you just described.

BTW, I've got nothing ideological against busts, statues, Revoltechs, and the like. I just have to impose artificial limits to keep myself from going broke!  

 

Looks like you've missed the news about Ultimetal Megatron.

 

The fall of Cybertron Optimus design is one of the weakest in my opinion.

That deluxe we got was horrid.

 

Might pass on this and get their IDW Optimus since Planet X is doing their version of this guy also. Also I don't need this guy to be 18"

Your actually kinda right, I would like to see more companies do what Kids Logic is doing by doing all the characters. I think their line is pretty cool, and its like Ninja Turtles. No other company (besides Playmates obviously) seems to get past doing the regular 4 turtles, after they are done the turtles they stop.

 

I dunno; I think this is kinda cool. It's not as if there's a shortage of either transforming OR non transforming Optimi but this at least looks like it would make a decent display piece.
