Transformers: Robots In Disguise 2015 Minicon Deployers Official Images - Transformers News - TFW2005
Those are just straight up CAD renders. Hasbro's getting cheaper and cheaper with paying the photographers, it seems I'd like to see the gimmick in motion before I make any judgments in regards to that aspect, but Fracture's Alt mode is just a mess. I'm all for cybertronian alt-modes, but I can't even tell what he's supposed to be. The one-step looks like a Motorcycle, but I don't get that vibe from this toy at all. Glad to see Minicons make a return though, even if I wish they were actual characters instead of gimmick toys.
That's really neat that they turn into their Cybertronian modes. Shame the mini dudes don't have the same clearescent accessories as the single packs though.
These are literally the same sh*tty gimmick as the FoC discs. Now, unless all of you can profess to have an unnatural affection toward those springy messes, then it's safe to assume they will shelf-clog like their predecessors. I'm sure they'll be cheaper to order, too (woo!), so the stores will inundate themselves with yet another NEW TF product (that will surely sell! Surely!), and when the stock sticks like old gum, they won't order wave X of CW. Ugh. Since when is Hasbro a corrupt gaming company? They make a ton of crappy new products and raise the prices of their successful products, forcing the core fans to pay for the various failures to attract NEW fans. Oye... I hope for everyone that these sell better than the FoC discs, but I want you guys to realize they're likely to do just as "well" as their predecessors. Unless, of course, you guys 180 and buy them all up, cause I don't see kids suddenly caring about TFs again from that new R.I.D. cartoon!
I can't tell if this is serious or so sarcastic it's about to implode on itself. RID looks fun, and there's no denying it. Not the dark gritty stuff older fans want but hey... it's made primarily for kids. Plus it's back on CN now, so even if it has a crappy time slot, it'll be on a channel about ten times more accessible than The Hub was (Hub wasn't part of a lot of companies' basic programming packages). I don't think it'll make Transformers be the hottest thing on the market, but I'm betting it'll do more for the brand than Prime was able to do because, objectively, it has a lot more going for it.
These look terrible. Why even bother transforming? Nothing here turns into anything. Some of the worst toys I've ever seen produced under the TF banner that "transform." It is a neat concept, but they obviously cost cut it to hell and back.
These look awful, but then again, you already knew that. I mean, what the HELL does Fracture even turn into? That does NOT look like a motorcycle. I kind of like the Minicons, though, with a caveat. I love the detachable armour that comes on sprues, especially since I'm a modeller. It's not quite Arms Micron, but it's still awesome. However, my problem is that there are two basic shapes, and all the different Minicons for those two shapes are VERY similar with minor differences, plus they barely do anything and are spring-loaded (again). I appreciate the idea, but I'd much rather have gone down the Arms Micron route again than the spring-loaded gimmicky thing route.
Those look okay. A little awkward (I can see their distinvt influence from the Disk Deployer designs), but on the whole they work as transforming robots. I got to agree here, the Japanese Arm Microns function way better as minions than the TFP/WFC/FOC/RID Deployers.
