Get them on the rack and pull em apart or do it Braveheart style.
Still, absolutely disgusting that a person would do that.

I know exactly how you feel. I have had my rabbit for almost seven years now, and she is my closest friend.
Any animal cruelty angers me, but i'm especially angry concerning rabbits as I am so close to mine. This is absolutely cowardly.

Yes, they use their ears primarily to cool off as they can't sweat. But as long as they know how to keep him cool and look after him right, he should survive. He'll just need a bit more care. The main concern would be the stress he's been put through and the risk on infection.
That would have been really painful for him, poor boy. He's very fortunate to survive.
He should still live a happy life if he's looked after right.

Hmmm, this is not a bad idea. It might inhibit their maniacal tendencies.

After reading thread, Im imagining a whole town with pitchforks and fire, chasing an evil rabbit hacker through a forest.

If you think that's bad, think about that cheeseburger you're eating :lol

By doing something like that, you prove that you're not fit to live among free people in a civilized society. They should either be locked up permanently, or have THEIR ears (or maybe something else) cut off.

In my opinion, anyone who hurts animals is sociopathic. A normal person could never live with themself after doing something like that.

Lots of animals kill each other all the time for food. Its the circle of life. Torturing and disfiguring another creature is a little different.......there's really no moral equivalency there.

That is terrible. I'm sorry to say that unless he happens to be found by someone, he will die. A domesticated rabbit will never survive in the wild, certainly not an old one. This so called animal rights activist has almost certainly killed him, where as he would have had a happy life with people who loved him.
I only have one rabbit, but I keep her in the house. She gets all the socialization she needs from us (and she really gets a lot of attention, believe me). If humans pay enough attention to them, rabbits can live on their own and be just as happy.
It sounds like they really cared for him - he wouldn't have made it to that age otherwise. Such a cruel person to take that away.
I feel so sorry for the family, especially the girl :(

Yup, i just watched an episode of Dirty Jobs, Mike had to cut out llamas' fighting teeth. Teeth grown specifically for the purpose of mangling other llamas' testicles.

Honestly, why don't they nueter or spay our criminals? The expense for the procedure would pay for itself in the long run if this just happens to put a cripple on crime knowing your manhood was at stake. AND our psycho gangstas won't be breeding, puting their womins on welfare and the fiasco of over populating and such

Come to think of it, this might solve alotta of problems. Maybe calm some people down even? :inquisiti

The girl with the ear chopped bunny should be thankful her bunny was able to return. At least he didn't think that ill fortune would befall him should he return to his hutch. And probably fortunately so that his tormentors were likely passing through, board, and had the rabbit at their disposal and cared little of his fate

A pity this is what people do in their spare time, rather something productive or less damaging to people personally. Couldn't they have smashed a fence in some childs playground or something?

It's a shock story from a UK tabloid. IT IS PROBABLY MADE UP.

Lots of animals slowly torture and play with their food as they kill it. Sure they don't know any better but it's not like nature is all happy and full of mercy kills.

Also I guess you could say that we are all guilty of torture and disfigurement at some point for supporting certain industries (cage eggs etc).

All these bunny stories make me so sad. :(  But it puts a little smile on my face to see those horrible creeps being called "yobs" and "nutters". British slang is so awesome. :)

Actually the worst case of animal cruelty I've seen was a dog getting brutally beaten to death by a snow shovel. some sadistic freak posted it as a gif on 4chan.

Most F'd up thing I've had the displeasure of seeing in a long time. ever since viewing the disgusting video of animal torture on PETA's Fur site

Beating, Mutilating or torturing any living thing is just pure and simply wrong. And if i had a large arsonal of weapons, tools etc. I'd pay all these inhuman monsters a visit and show them what a sadistic person i can be.

Oh and before I get dumb comments i am not a supporter of PETA simply because they are no better, their methods are a bit too extreme granted my solution to the problem would be even more extreme lol to the perps doing the crimes.

prepping animals to be eatin is one thing, but hunting them for sport or torturing and killing them out of sheer boredom or for laughs is an entriely different matter altogether.
