Nope. I ordered way before they even mentioned that. Plus, they haven't officially announced it. Even though there was some kind of info saying that they were accepting orders for the TF edition on June 1, they aren't.
Awesome car, grats on getting it as your new car. I think yellow stripes will look really sexy on it.
I went with the most bang for the buck model, IMO. It has 304HP and gets 29mpg hwy on regular unleaded. Yes, it has IRS. I got the 1LT with the RS package and the connections and connectivity package. Sticker on mine was just under $27k. They don't have a Z/28, although they do have the SS model with the V8. It has about 423HP. Way more punch then I need.
Wow. I hate you so much right now. If anything silver stripes would look better on it than yellow. Or even black stripes on a silver base. Of course, what would make it really look good is if you left in my driveway. With the keys in it. And Megan Fox draped over the hood. And a million dollars in the front seat. Make that ten million. And for all the children of the world to join hands and sing in the spirit of harmony and peace.
Yes, they are taking orders now but the wife might not have a job come July otherwise my order would be in. Congrats on the car AWESOME ride!
Rumor has it the Z28 will come out in 2011 if things are looking up for GM. Same timeframe as the convertible. The SS actually has 426hp LS3 engine. As for the Bumblebee edition, while it will be yellow with black stripes it won't look like Bumblebee (at least not ROTF Bee) because they did custom body work for him, compare the front ends of the production Camaro to the movie stills. There are other things like Autobot badge on the inside, but it's not majorly different than a stock Camaro.
Its amazing to see a American V6 making 300+ hp. I remember my old 2001 Mustang GT made what 260? 240? weak stuff...
Agreed. And with 29mpg highway on regular unleaded? Amazing. I had a '93 Z28 that didn't have this HP. Had a little more torque but not as much HP. The clutch is soooo smooth.
That is amazing. I wish I could afford one myself. My first car was a Camaro and I've been in love with them ever since. Gratz!
That clutch is ridiculous. Completely effortless. That one actually wouldn't be half as bad on my knee in stop and go traffic as my Mustang is.
