Combiners return! TF08.net has provided a scan of an instruction sheet for a Transformers Universe 25th Anniversary Bruticus! This appears to be a gift set in the same vein as the Classics Constructicon Devastator. We already saw two of the molds to be included in this set back in August.
This news also makes it very likely that the recolored Superion Maximus who was also seen back in August will also be seeing a gift set release.
Of particular note is that the scan provided by TF08.net indicates that the Bruticus set will be a part of the Generation 1 series, although the combiner will be named Bruticus Maximus after his Energon counterpart (possibly for copyright reasons) the five components will all be named after their Generation 1 counterparts.
TF08 has also shown an image of the upcoming Classics Legends, Brawn and Beachcomber. Encouragingly, Brawn now sports black wheels rather than the green ones from recent promotional images.

Derrick Wyatt has posted an update on his blog, A Delightful Tedium, giving a small insight into what goes into the production of Transformers Animated. He explains how Eric Siebenaler of Hasbro (lead designer for the Transformers Animated toys) is considered a part of the team for the production of the cartoon show, and how Marty Isenberg is involved in nearly every aspect of the fiction, producing a coherent "universe" for the series.
He also briefly mentions that he considers there are a great many concepts begging to be used in Transformers Animated, and that who knows, maybe some will get used.

Two rumors come to us today from the SGCollect forums: the first states that the long-rumored Masterpiece Grimlock will be coming in March 2009, with a price tag of 13'000 yen (about $130 USD). Meanwhile, the second rumor suggests that there is an Alternity Megatron in the works. He will come in two color schemes, like Alternity Convoy, blue and silver, and he will be based on the Nissan Fairlady Z car (a similar model of car was used waaay back in the 1980's for the original Prowl, Bluestreak and Smokescreen).
As and when further information confirming or denying these rumors comes to light, we will update you. In the meantime, speculate away on our 2005 Boards!

2005 Boards Sponsor Red Leader of Kapow Toys has shared some information with us about the upcoming Transformers Animated Two Packs, which we previously reported on. The sets are going to be Wal-Mart exclusives, possibly Black Friday exclusives in the same vein as the previous Transformers Cybertron two packs. Also confirmed is that the Optimus Prime and Megatron included in the two sets will be the same as their original two pack release - battle damage and all. Last but certainly not least, Red Leader has also posted the on-package bios for both sets, which you can read by clicking on the title of this story.
In other news, Transformers Animated Voyager Class Wave 4 is due out at the end of the month, or possibly early November, and will be made up of 2 x Skywarps and 2 x Shockwaves to a case! So hopefully, there will be plenty to go around once these hit store shelves.

According to the official website of the city of Coronado California Dreamworks Productions had set to begin filming several action sequences at the Naval Base in Coronado on October 9 for a day. While Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is not specifically mentioned, it is safe to assume that this was the Dreamworks production being filmed. The website states that the work taking place would consist of "gunfire and small explosive visual effects".
