If this is cheaper than the first DLC I will buy it but not at the full $10.
Terrorsaur128
Pretty bad-ass, cant wait. Just wish there were more characters but hey, 2 is better than none and Zeta prime totally makes up for there only being 2, in my book.
Angelwave
Nice to have some confirmation. I'll be getting this tomorrow.
Toxicon
Oh lawdy I can't wait to rock Zeta Prime.
Downshift-1307
I have to say I'm really disappointed, I'd of perferred to of seen the Devs keep Zeta and Deadend for a way to tell you're playing one.
and have a whole load of new Playable models for characters (Where the HELL is my WFC Wheeljack?)
FanimusMaximus
YAY ZETA PRIME!!!

But it needed more characters.
SilverOptimus
Zeta Prime's Vehicle Mode is not what I expected. I thought of a repaint of Optimus... But NO... a new vehicle mode.

Chopperface
Damn, Zeta Prime is a kickass. But I would've preferred more new characters. Maybe Grimlock and Cyclonus. Cliffjumper would be easy, since he's mostly a repaint.
Shadow25
I wonder what abilities they'll have (in Escalation). I think Zeta will have Warcry and Barrier, and Dead End will have Dash, but not sure what else.

I would have liked Cliffjumper as a new Escalation character, and Motormaster for Decepticon Leaders. I would have been content with that as the DLC.
mariobros27772
SethBuzzard called it... Zeta Prime DLC!

The thing is, all the DLC so far has been content that's already on the disk. The reason Zeta and Dead End are the only two characters in this one is because they are the only two characters left locked on the disk. So, the DS characters were always an impossibility. IF they do a third DLC, THEN it will have to contain completely original content.

However, I think High Moon is done with DLC after this pack.

2 new characters....but 5 maps!!!? Thats alot of maps o_0

1st DLC: 2 Maps, 5 Characters
2nd DLC: 5 Maps, 2 Characters

Look at High Moon Studios being Creative.

Technically the first DLC contained 4 maps, 2 of them being for MP and the other 2 being for Escalation. I assume 2 of these new maps are for Escalation, and the other 3 are for MP.

Which is good, because I'm tiring of the current Escalation maps. Especially District. I hate District; it's so lazy. The characters don't even have the right voices when I play on it.

Oh ya, your right my bad lol. But still that's too many maps in one DLC >.>

Zeta Primes head reminds me of Generation Drifts head sculpt.

Yeah thats what I'm thinking too.

Don't think they'll bother to make any new characters from the ground up.
Optimus1984
just want to ad woooooooooooooooooooooooooo zeta prime yesssssssssssss
SimonMK
Wait... so the chance of the DS characters (Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, Motormaster and Dragstrip) are none?
Acteon
Gah, is that it? I was hoping for some other characters, and I'm seriously nonplussed about their restriction to Escalation only.

I hope it's cheap because I'm only interested in the multiplayer maps, the rest will sit completely unused. I'd have preferred a LittleBigPlanet approach where you can buy things individually. When I'm only likely to use 3 out of 7 items, it's a massive waste.

Boo.

Why is it that PC users of the Game get shafted by this companies. I want some of this extra toys.

The character models were only designed for the DS. As far as we know, there was never any version of those characters made to run on the PS3/360/PC engines. So pretty much.......

Essentially, yeah.
Eric
I knew we would get Zeta Prime and Dead End. And as far as maps go...eh, worth checking out.

If this were some other game, I wouldn't pay the extra $10. But since this is a Transformers game...*sigh* I'll whore out the cash anyway.
DazzalingFury
The question is, "Will this be available for PC versions...?" :O
Tiller
So yeah. Basically you're getting new maps and 2 characters that should have been in unlocked in the first place.

Count me out yet again. I'm not paying to unlock content I own. The new maps I'm sure will be sweet though.

Also, there is zero chance for any other DLC characters. The way Highmoon went about extra characters was to keep them locked on the disk so everyone could still play together on standard maps, but if you pay you can unlock them. These are the last two characters left locked, so unless they do a mandatory download of skins, don't look forward to another pack.

Sadly, it doesn't seem that it will.

Bah. No single player extras = no sale.

Need another con leader!
Mechafire
I'll be downloading this. Was expecting Zeta Prime and Dead End, and the new maps look okay.
NeilD83
i request more characters please
Sso02V
Well, that's an easy skip. And here I thought they'd actually try.
Shizuka
I too think that this game is over in terms of DLC. Soon this game will die until a supposed sequel emerges but the cycle will mere restart.

Sorry but I love ROTF DLC better. 11 new character (3 skins). They created new characters That was so amazing to me and actually got me excited. This does not get me excited.

You and I agree sir.

Since the development of the DS game had NOTHING to do with High Moon Studios those awesome concept art for them will never be used in War for Cybertron. It has the same probability as me asking for Halo maps to be brought over to it.

Because High Moon are noobs with PC games:
One of Swords Podcast 027: A Decepticon Apologist ? One Of Swords

So this is kind of what I expected. Still a little disappointing that there are only 2 characters but that is what I was expecting. 5 maps is a bit unexpected though. Hopefully they will add a DLC play list so they don't keep getting vetoed like the current ones do.

But yeah, this is probably the last of it.

Did you not see his concept arm in the extra section in the game? If you beat the Autobot camapain mode, it is there it's under the Autobot leader's section.

Can't say I'm too surprised by the DLC, we knew Zeta and Dead End were going to be here and some maps (though we don't know which maps or of what), but I do like what I see. And here. Is this music in the game? I don't remember it...

How much is this going to cost anyway? As I'm overseas, I cannot use my credit card for purchases (stupid PSN regulations)! I only have $9.67 left in my wallet, and I'm not really in the mood to buy another PS3 card, so if the DLC is somewhere within my budget, I'll buy it, but if not, it'll be awhile before I do.

Well, you certainly can say ROTF's DLC gave you much more bang for your buck.

You got 8 new characters, 5 of which were completely new, and three of which had new models and were significantly altered from their movie counterparts, plus three new skins. Add to that 3 new maps. And that was all for 800 points. Not to say that WFC is ripping you off but paying to unlock in-game content and the same number of maps for the same amount of points... says something.
Brooticus
Maaan i'd love me a Zeta Prime Toy. I'd call him Sentinel Prime though.

And the characters were playable in storymode as well minus Jetfire.
TwinSpin
Do they have a DLC that makes me not suck at Multiplayer? That would be worth 10 bucks.

I see where you are coming from, I really do, but I just wanted to reply on this, because it is a somewhat flawed statement.

Sure, one could say that, since the content is on the disc, it should be unlocked in the first place: it was ready at shipping so there should be no right to hold it back.

However, there is something important to keep in mind, and that's 'current gen' games nowadays take alot of time, money and manpower to be produced...that's why games are becoming more expensive, while at the same time shorter. The biggest reason for this is, of course, the graphics - current gen models and levels just take alot longer to create, so unless your game is deliberately going for a Katamari Damacy-esque low poly cartoon style, prepare to spend alot of time and money on making things look good.

A way to recoup these costs is by offering DLC. Not everybody is buying that, but alot of games get 1 or 2 DLC expansion packs to rake back some money.

Now comes the tricky part: if you don't include these new characters (characters that are not just merely repaints, but new models with their own dimensions and behaviours) on the disc, you're left with 2 options:

1. divide the community even more, since the players who didn't buy the DLC pack will not be able to play with the ones that did. Result: less people being able to find a good match - people stop playing WFC
2. Force all players to download an update that will let them see the new models. This sounds like a good idea..except it isnt:
-Why would people want to sit through an update that gives them nothing? I don't think 2 new player models are really a problem to download nowadays with high speed internet, but still...the second reason is much more important, though:
-An update actually costs MONEY to a publisher..and the bigger the update, the more expensive it is. And even a small update costs ALOT. This is not something most consumers are aware of, but it's true..so if this can be evaded by a company, why not evade it?

The first one or two DLC packs for most new games are often planned alongside the production of the regular game, and putting the code and assets onto the disc is a wise strategy.

Just wanted to point that out..I don't think I will be buying the DLC myself but I think it was worth noting. This is hardly as bad as the latest Soul Calibur game where you suddenly had to pay money to unlock weapons, clothing and characters, all parts of the game that were free in previous installments.

Seconded, although I'd keep him as Zeta. Zeta was actually my favorite TF in the game. Loved his characterization.

I am just waiting on a cost. I finally got MP Grimlock, so I my wallet needs to take a break from Tranformer rape

I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy all WFC toys and I don't collect toys. So yes, I want a Zeta Prime figure. There is a really good custom one on these boards that would be just fine if they put it out.

But for the new maps, I hope the amount of retooling old maps for new modes is at a low. It just didn't sit well with me playing Rust on Escalation.

The cost will likely be $10, same as always.
TwinSpin
Zeta's altmode rocks. I wish we could get an Art of War For Cybertron book, or some animated webisode fiction with these designs. So sweet!

Where is this custom Zeta? I which this site had a better way to search for Radicons by name.

I agree. I could give a damn about the stupid maps.

I'm only interested in the new chasis, but Im not paying 10 bucks for just two

Cool, I look forward to Wednesday evening

I would have to agree. The first DLC in my opinion was to much.
