When I play as Decepticon in MP, I really love to use Starscream. However, his ability perplexed me, because it doesn't seemed like it can be used in the bot mode. Does anyone know how to use it effectively?

I found his special ability to be the least useful of the cons in general. It's probably a balance thing, as I felt Starscream was fairly powerful and versatile overall. He had decent speed and good strength and a great secondary weapon.

His special ability is actually pretty useful. When you hit an opponent with his missiles while his special is active, they slow way down. Basically, they're sitting ducks for afew seconds.

So it can only be used in the weapon mode?

The game looks and plays better than the first one.

Which autobots and decepticons are playable in the DS games?

dunno about decepticon, but im halfway through the autobots and you get to play as...

optimus
sideswipe
your own character
bumblebee
breakaway

thats it so far, you do most main storyline missions as you and challenges as other characters.

And you can't change your alt mode like the first game once you pick one of three thats it. you can't change color either.

Man, Bumblebee's stun ability is annoying as hell.

Yeah. That's why I try to bail as soon as he finishes his first melee chain. I'm not letting that little yellow bastard get the better of me.

Agreed. I also hate his anti-air missiles since I play Starscream alot. I want to kill that little bugger every time I play as Decepticon.

I thought it was Jetfire who was stunning people?

He's a beast, I much prefer Starscream to Megatron and it seems to the majority of players I play online, do as well. It seems most Con players are either Starscream, Grindor or Sideways.

apparently not, the last 50% of the game flew by ( and not in a good way) i didn't even realize i was approaching thew end...

So final count is:

you ( most of the time for story missions)
bumblebee ( couple of races/ collect the energon challenges)
sideswipe ( survive, race and collect the eneregon challenges)
optimus ( start of the game and a race against ironhide)
breakaway ( one random level and a challenge)
other autobots that appear are jetfire and ratchet and a movieverse liek inferno.

the twins and arcee are mentioned but never seen

boss battles are:
Grindor
sideways
starscream
megatron

So it seems everyone says the PS2 and Wii versions of the game are not so good. Unfortunately, those are the only consoles i have. Would i be better off getting the PC version instead then?

Long time G1 lurker, first time poster.

I like many, did not care for this years summer blockbuster. That being said I have found tons of enjoyment outta the game based on said film and would like to share a promotional vid of mine for it. I'm really enjoying this game. Compared to the 1st game it's frikkin' awesome.

Finally got the game and I have to say it's really fun. The game feels repetetive and the main game feels like an afterthought, but they did a great job with the gameplay. And I bought this mainly for the Multiplayer anyway.

I'm looking forward to the first DLC pack, they better have Sideswipe as a playable. I hope they keep adding characters. I was thinking about this a little, how would you feel if they add characters from different Transformers incarnations?

I know everyone wants obviously more Movie Transformers to be added and possibly even G1 based ones. Just like the first Movie game had G1 Megatron and Optimus Prime.

I believe that the Multiplayer can really keep this game alive for a very long time, if the Devs keep releasing DLC with new characters and Maps. So would you like to see Transformers added from many of the other existing cartoons? Robots in Disguise, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, even the newest Animated cartoon.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Armada characters. So I would love to see an Armada based character model of Starscream. But what does a Dev has to say to this? Would that even be possible at all? Would rights to the specific cartoons first need to be aquired first? Would you even bother it if the demand is high enough?

Ps2/Wii = They suck
DS = The kinda pass

XBOX360 version may got a 75 in Gamespot but I give it a 90. As for the Wii/PS2 ones, 29. PSP, 18.

XBOX version is a tremendous improvement over the first.

I don't like multiplayer, and I wish developers would continue to include sandbox modes after the main storyline is completed! Would it be too much ask for a mode where you indicate who you want to fight and then start the level?
