 | | | Transformers Revenge of the Fallen: The Game Cover Arts | | Posted on 05-05-2009 at 06:15 PM by Sol Fury | | The covers for the various format versions of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen game have begun to go up on Gamestop and other retailer websites. The cover art for most versions depicts Optimus Prime in an action hero pose with the ominous gaze of The Fallen in the background. With the exception of the Nintendo DS versions - each version shows the portrait of either Optimus or Megatron, for the Autobot and Decepticon versions respectively.

Lookin pretty bad ass there Prime.
Mechafire:
Whoah.
That's hot.
Optimus747:
Nice Atomsplitter:
Too bad the cover will likely be better than the game.
Soundatron:
WHOA! That's better than all the covers I've seen.
Waveride:
I put together a high resolution version of the PS3 cover from Amazon's site. You can zoom in quite a lot on the cover but it doesn't allow you to save so i just took screenshots of all the parts and pieced them together.

And as for the cover...
Boring. No seriously, boring.
It's just Prime, with some sparks in the foreground. That's it. The first movie's game didn't really stand out either with Optimus and Megatron staring at each other, I was just hoping for more.
The DS covers aren't too bad, it's nice to see the finer details in their faces, but really...I'm not impressed by this batch, at all.

Sorry if that "Link?" came across assholish. Not my intention. star11scream:

But if you want, you can search on Amazon's site for "Transformers Revenge" and it will give you the games as a result, then once you click on the item on the left you have enlarge cover and you can zoom in much more than what i did with this composite. Same for the other 2 covers i posted, hope that helps. Sucks that we can't save the image though from their site.
Soundwave84:
Damn that is nice ill def be buying the game

No Wii cover ?

Bayless:
those DS covers are damn swanky. i like the faces
Blitz.:
yeah I gotta say as far as covers go this is a bit lame. They just took a prime render and put the game name over the top. imo first impressions are everything and that starts with the games box and for people who don't read every article on the game to begin with.
Fit For natalie:
Hey guys, I think the backgrounds/images used from these covers might be movie posters, or at least promotional images directly from Paramount. Those are ILM's higher-res models. That's the same battle damaged Prime we've seen on Empire's cover.
Remember how the 2007 game used movie posters for their cover art?
Matterzero:
I's an ok cover, nothing too flashy, I have no ill will towards it, and I'm looking forward to the game.
Cyber-Scream:
Pretty cool. Will probably get the Con DS.
reave:
Want the PS3 game NOW. I know, it will probably not be up to snuff for a PS3 game, but I'm such a pitiful "gamer", I won't know the difference.
I like all Transformers games!
Eric:
Prime looks teh hawtness. Liselotte:
HD version of the Xbox 360 cover
1528x2147 brr-icy:
bought, i liked the ps3 version last time, but that was after the utter failure of the psp version, making it stand out as the better game

BlitzFire:
nvm...delete....already reported!
thygriever:
Ahh sweet thanks for the hd images guys. I think the cover is pretty badass but I don't really like the way prime's eyes are. They look huge. I think he'd look so much more sinister and awesome if they weren't so bumblebee huge.

Running around this city, racing to points A ~ Z completing timed tasks and having to defeat baddies with light posts, trees, or whatevers while your character was armed to the teeth was ridiculous! The first game wasn't fun AT ALL!
Please tell me the company responsible for the first isn't doing Transformers again 'cause the second time isn't a charm. They screwed it and should be allowed to do it again.
Moving back to topic, that is a pretty sweet looking cover! I'm shocked to hear that some find it boring. Wow!

What, no additional credit for me?
OK, I see fellas...
Next time I have earth shattering news, I'll keep it to myself... Dran0n:
That Prime picture looks pretty badass.
Kaijumaster:
HAH! Gamestop "Exclusive" content. I remember the last Transformers Movie game with a "Gamestop Exclusive" You paid an extra 10 dollars for a bonus level. you got it by entering a code packed with the game that .... did absolutly nothing....and that content was on EVERY version of the game no matter where you bought it. so you paid $10 for a lie!

Not the full HD sized one though.
Bahamut Prime:
Kickass covers! I'm so gonna get the games no matter what the reviews say!
Shizuka:
Looks awesome! Love it. Kinda intense.

PS: For those complaining about a bland cover, be glad we're not getting a rehash of this: Grimwing:
I'm confident they know what they did wrong last time and it is a different development team. (previously did "true crime streets of los angeles")
Even as a shoddy jpeg the cover looks perfect.
Just a little note that I went to preorder it at gamestop. And when I later looked at my receipt they had preordered the terminator movie game. I'll go and get my deposit back later. Just putting the word out that your gamestop may also have mislabled preorder upc codes.

If they're still around, I wish they'd sent it back over the Melbourne House and let Atari do it. The Armada game was damn good fun, everything the last game was not.
However, I too hope that the company that have it now will strike gold and create a damn fun game.
Aptom:
i dont understand this. the last transformers movie game was terrible, so they changed to the people who did true crime. why change from one crap developer to another. true crime was terrible! it cant be hard to make a decent transformers game , be it inside the movie universe or otherwise. i agree that the armada game was great. more of that please!

Sometimes developers learn from their mistakes - if you follow the Evil Dead games for example, they progressively get better (though they did drop some cool elements each time...), so maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised...
I personally hated how hard it was to keep BB on the road in the 1st game, or how weak he was in fights in the 1st levels - never really wanted to go beyond the Wal-mart kiosk after that...
