Transformers Movie Series Striker Optimus Prime New Information - Metallic Paint and Chrome!

Transformers Asia, the website for the Hong Kong / China branch of the Transformers brand, has updated with fresh information on the upcoming Asia-exclusive release of Dark of the Moon Striker Optimus Prime. He's shown in silhouette on the new webpage, which teases that the Striker Optimus Prime blasters and shield, which forms the Stealth Force third mode, will all be included. But that is not all, as the page teases at a few features for this upcoming release, which include:

Metallic Paint And Chromed Parts
Special Designed Packaging
Bonus Weapon
Limited Production

The web page also specifies that this version of Striker Optimus Prime is due to be released in 30 September 2012, so over the next six weeks we are sure to get more news to share with you.

Probably... I Think APS-02 is the premium version for Ejector. Chrome-out toaster mode with working electric plug and energon toasts.

IIRC I think he was like $90. But the dollar was pretty strong at the time and inflation seems to hit toy prices everywhere else a lot harder than in the US

Edit: But I wouldn't be surprised to see this figure go for at $160-180. Shit, the original Striker Prime was $120 then jumped up to $130 so...

The I got the original ROTF Prime Jetfire combo pack for $150. Didn't it go up to $250?

I'll be happy if this Prime goes for under $200. Especially if he's cool enough to get. It sounds great, but if they've chromed his head and his crotch plate and made his hands metallic while paining everything else yellow and pink polka dots I won't be on board.

I'm exaggerating, but there have been plenty of WTF repaints.

Dammit, I already own Buster Prime (DOTM release), Jetwing Prime, Striker Prime, and DMK Prime. I don't need another one to drain my wallet like a red, blue, and chrome vampire. XD

Though the designation of 01 makes me wonder if this is only the first in a line of premium deco Leader figures. Premium Ironhide and Sentinel Prime would make this line irresistible to me!

Yeah, I think the aesthetic shouldn't be too 'disco', then again I am a pretty thorough Transformers United collector and have been moving anything like Buster Optimus Prime up my priority list again now the Jetpower boxed set has been reissued for DOTM.

My first reaction to this was 'There'll be no one to stop us this time...' from Star Wars, but things didn't work out so well for Darth Vader!

Hopefully I have better fortunes getting hold of this should I choose to go after it. Basically I have to pay for an update on my car registration and I was hoping to pad out a tidy little Robot Kingdom order around MP-11s when it arrives there.

That's fair enough; I on the other hand don't have Buster/Jetpower or Striker yet, ao this is a possibility for me. Of course the reason for that is I've made other items higher priorities to collect lol. As such I am still thinking of securing the Amazon Exclisive MP-11s and MP-12 before this; I preordered the limited MP-13 as soon as I saw it on the news page.

Well, it's what a lot of people wanted. Aside from being jealous of the extra weapon, no way this is for me. I really like the unchromed look of Striker anyway.

A new mold would probably be asking too much from this line, not that I'd say no to a DOTM Leader Megatron or Shockwave. XD But I'd expect just (fancy) repaints of old existing molds with new accessories perhaps.

They may say it is limited edition but as to how many pieces they actually produce,no one will know.
