Good news, PC owners - you too can now join in on the pre-order party and get in your prepurchases for Transformers Fall of Cybertron on PC through Steam! Today, Steam has added Fall of Cybertron as a preorder, due for release in just three short weeks time like the console versions.

Also, if you are a PC gamer and never got a chance to play the original, more good news, because Steam currently has War for Cybertron on sale with 75% off of the original asking price - so what better way to pass the next three weeks waiting for the new Fall of Cybertron than playing the prequel again?

Interesting to me is the lack of High Moon being mentioned anywhere.

Probably a good sign that Mercenary's doing a somewhat involved port. At least I hope it is.

For any who are interested in getting this game for PC, it is available for pre-order today.

WFC is also 75% off if anyone still needs to play the campaign!

I never got to play WFC because I do not own a PS3 or X360. But I recently read the PC version is just as good? Can anyone atest to this? If so I might pick it up.

Personally I loved the PC version. Make sure you download the FPS unlock tool otherwise the PC version is capped at 30 fps:

The MP has more cheaters, and less players, and you may lag more than console if your computer isn't mega hyper amazing, but it's the same, save for the lack of DLC.

Just bought WFC. Figured it's about time I played it

I've never ordered from streampowered before, but it looks like you pay them and you download the game? How does that work with a 9gb game? Does it install the game to your hard drive or give you a file you have to burn to DVD?

When you purchase the game you have to download every byte of data for the game and then you are able to play the game. The problem with steam is that if you don't have very fast internet download speed you will be waiting all day for the game to download.

Great news.

As for WFC, PC version is very good port. Never play it in MP mode, but SP campaign is really good + no bugs.

You download Steam software on your PC, install it, and all games you purchase in this store is avaible for you. Just press "install" and that's it.
After Steam software download the game it ready to play.

I hope they add Steam achievements and Steamplay. I thought they already mentioned both but its not on the game's page.

Okay, I downloaded Stream, and just to test it I'm getting the Quake II demo and installing it. It that works, I'll try something more ambitious.
Scaleface
hmmmm. tried Quake II and Quake III demos and they didn't run.

Edit - They worked after a reboot!

Quake II may not work on modern PC.
It have some limitations with OpenGL drivers.
Quake2XP or BerserkerQ2 engine mods can help, but I don't know about how it work with demo.
