Transformers: Fall of Cybertron - 1st gameplay trailer is live!

The only really notworthy thing about it is that Optimus and Megatron fight. (finally) This game really doesn't look that great. The character animation and textures are pretty bland, and the effects leave a lot to be desired.

My boner just got a boner. 6 more months!!!

I'm no gamer, and I won't be playing this game, but that doesn't look like gameplay to me.

Looks cool, but the music was definitely the best part of the video.

Also, other than maybe two or three shots, how was that a "gameplay" trailer?

Epic trailer!, Optimus and Megatron are finally gonna fight eachother.

I was expecting a November release for some reason. I can totally go with August. Hopefully there will be FOC figures on the shelf to go along with the game release.

Anyone else think the last level will be Megatron?

To be honest, that was pretty underwhelming. I expected some new features or what not.

Yep. When they said "gameplay", I suspect what they meant was "rendered in-game as opposed to being a prerendered cinematic", sadly.

It's definitely not pre-rendered. The Bruticus combination shot was the beginning of a gameplay trailer from a while back. All of this (well maybe not all of it) is in-engine.

It's like Mass Effect cutscenes rather than older Final Fantasy cutscenes.

Yeah, it's quite obvious (for me at least) multiple shots are gameplay, but not done at the angle of gameplay and without HUD etc.

I think it looks AMAZING.

A good number of those scenes are generated using the in-game engine. I would imagine that is what it means - these are the graphics we can look forward to in game.

Looks like there is a second area with Grimlock - that did not look much like the environment I saw him in before.

As a huge WFC fan i find myself shocked that i thought that trailer was bad, not impressed with it and the graphics dont look like they've improved much from WFC imo

Glad that games with Epic Graphics don't use pre-rendered cutscenes; really helps the cutscenes mesh with the game.

I'm excited for it, tho I think the trailer could've used more Jazz

Anyways, loved the music and glad to see a bit more of the game. I loved the graphics in the first game and glad to see they're still mostly the same in this one. Can't wait for Aug!

Tho it looks like that Megatron have two forms, and with a new sword.

Meh, I knew it wasn't going to be what I wanted but still pretty cool. Hopefully Gameinformer or somebody else gets to go even more in depth soon.

The last trailer definitely hyped me more. This was too busy - it was harder to actually tell what was happening in many of the shots. Looks good though, but this clearly was NOT a trailer showing off much gameplay.

Also, dislike how much focus Earth got. One of the pros of WfC was that there was no Earth involvement, imo. Not that I hate all TF's humans, it's just a nice change.

Also, the logo forming at the end was stolen straight from the movie trailers.

I was a little underwhelmed. The video was moving too quickly to see what was happening.

Agreed, I watched it thinking "well this looks kind of cool, but WTF is going on??" Waaaay too much was happening in that trailer, and no offense to those who like the music, but if I have to hear dubstep in one more game trailer I will have to punch a baby


EDIT: I have nothing against dubstep, some songs I actually kind of like, but the sheer number of new game trailers coming out with dubstep is doing my head in

Okay, that was awesome. Consider me hyped. I just wish they would've showed less of the same scenes and more actual gameplay. That quick shot of Grimlock in T-Rex mode looked epic.

Damn, that trailer was busy. Craziness going down, man.

Oh well, I want this game now. Time to throw money at the screen and see if that helps me
