Yeah, judging from some of the artwork that has come up so far – specifically the piece on the cover of Gameinformer, it's fair to say Bumblebee gets FOC'ed up. >>
A seperate Prime set of Dinobots for FOC and Prime would be great, though that could seem unlikely to anyone familiar with the state of Dinobots in Classics/Henkei etc. Not to mention the Combaticons, whether or not they're also the combiner team appearing in Prime. Much asice from altmodes changing as they should, there's obvious aesthetic differences between the two branches of this canon; just look at Starscream in FOC and Prime. At any rate we are supposedly getting a release for him in each style – two for TF: Prime. Still, we in Australia to say the least won't be getting First Edition Prime figures at retail 'til Season Two is well and truly airing in America. So alot of us will be prepared to wait patiently, be it for one or two sets of Dinobots. From a Classics-centric collector's mindset this may seem unlikely due to an incompatability to repaints within and beyond the five member team, yet Transformers Animated got 3/5ths of the way through the Dinobots (with seperate molds and only one repaint). With or without the 3rd season constraints, DJW may have been happy with just three of them (much aside from Slag being called Snarl :/ ). I just hope there's the creativity, willpower and resources to put out at least one set of five. For TFP I think pairing two of the three smaller Dinobots (Slag/Slug, Snarl, Swoop) in an entertainment pack would be a cool way of a) keeping it themed and b) freeing up pegs for deluxes so the whole team could get figures close together and retailers etc should be less likely to think they're putting up five of the same toy lol.
Purple Heart
yeah no i heard that the dinobots will be in prime so i bet the toys might be some what of the same design and we probily might get a line for these and jazzes transformation sounds cool
Grandus Prime
He is in it but to what degree hasn't been stated yet.

Very interesting, reminds me of a documentary I saw a while ago about the BBC radiophonic workshop.

yeah, this is one of the better gameinformer features. grimlock's sound gives me shivers of excitement. they make it sound like the game is almost done. another 12 months feel so far away still.

I LOVE and have absolute respect for sound groups. And in this day and age where it's so much easier to go and get your own sounds and store them, mess with them however you want, it's great to know people are taking advantage and coming up with unique stuff instead of archived recordings we've heard before. And it's always fun to see how they get these great sounds.
Man, I want in on that line of work…
MaxxieOD
Jazz's transformation sound is really tight! Fits him well! I would love to have his sound as a ringtone or something!
I love the vids and how they get the different sounds and stuff, really neat! And the Rust Sea name drop…cool! These guys are really creative at coming up with the various sounds.
SPLIT LIP
Yeah, it's really fucking annoying.
SteelMan296
All those sounds work really well and giving them individual transformation sounds gives that much more depth and lets us know that Transformers are in the best of hands and that line Peter 'The Man' Cullen says… "Take that Decepticon punk!"… I sooo want that for my ring tone!

Agreed, I will never get bored of technical conversations about foley art. Some of those noises are great. Still not quite up there with when I first heard the soundboards for the 2007 movie, but close.
I've not played a video game in about 10 years but I could happily listen to this stuff several times over on my walk to work.
Brave Magnus
Raise your hand if you did the g1 transformation sound when playing the second video. XD
Thank you for the link! It was really fun to watch those. The transformation animations look great! Grimlock is pure bad-assery (is that a word? ).
Lord Of Tetris
The sound designers' reaction to Peter Cullen's comments on the script is hilarious. "The script is changed!"

I love Jazz's transformation sound
Crazy Ramjetty
you serious?

I never get tired of hearing foley artists talk about their craft. It's one of the most important, and often underappreciated, aspects of film/radio/games. Also, never really thought about the transformation sound being the energon in their bodies, but that makes a little sense…
Jazz's sound is pretty damn sweet, and definitely fits. The windstorm sound they mentioned as taking place in the Rust Sea, also namedropping it when talking about using the dry ice to make the groaning/creaking metal sounds.
Bruticus was already confirmed as playable, so… I think he's the bigger one.
shadow2879
there are others in the game that are bigger than Grimlock that you will get to play.
OptimusPrime108
I think you get to play as Bruticus and Metroplex.
Astronut
That's pretty cool!
Notice how all the HMS people say "transform" instead of "transformation"?
Also, they say Grimlock is One of the bigger characters you get to play.
Does that mean we'll get to play someone as big/bigger than him?
OptimusPrime108
That is awesome. I really love Jazz's transformation sound. For Grimlock's transformation, I wish they would've used the T-rex roar from Jurassic Park. I just think it would have sounded cooler that way. Optimus' transformation is cool too. I'm also really interested to see where the windstorm will take place because that is a really cool effect. It's nice to see how and where they get all the sounds for the game.
