Play a Demo of Transformers Generation 1 Awakening from Glu TF-Awaken-1
Glu have put up a time-limited demo of their Mobile Phone based Transformers Generation 1 strategy game. The demo allows you to sample the game, the story of which seems to be a loose interpretation of the original Generation 1 mythos.

RobotoChan:
Have wee seen this before?
Looks kinda funky.

Grimwing:
wow an actual demo! We've seen a video of the game before but I think the demo is new.

Frenzy is blue.
Nutcrusher:
It's pretty good. Only if this was made into an actual game...
Prowl:
Great link man, Thanks!! If they can do a demo, why can't they just release this for PC purchase too. I'd pay to play this on my PC. i also don't see how it couldn't work on the Iphone since it's strategy so you could just touch menues. Consider me stoked, then deflated.

I wonder if it's out. It says launch July 21st
IACON:
Awesome! I am gonna get it when it comes out.
Tekkaman Blade:
cool it is basically a super robot wars styled tf game, I just wish there were different attack options like in srw.
Dirge121:
Initially I was 'meh' on the whole concept, as someone who isnt a fan of this type of game. Now I've had a quick play, its pretty fun. Though Im confused as to why Bumblebee does so much damage, 45 compared to Soundwaves 12?
Icetron:
Haha, BB is so strong. Neat little game, didn't expect a strategy game though.
Mumps:
Hmm, This is a mobile game right? So... I could get it on an iphone. Would I be able to get it on an ipod touch?

It's a demo. It's not unusual for demos to have their difficulty skewed greatly towards the player. If the player gets really frustrated with the demo, they won't play the game. Also, easier gameplay means that the player can get farther and experience more features in a limited time.

No, a mobile game just means it runs on SOME cell phones. You'd have to see if yours supports it, and I doubt the iPhone does (since it's operating system is so different from standard cell phones)
EvaUnit13:
If we don't get this for the iPhone or Touch I hope they'll have something like this
Drew Eiden:
kinda cool... but i'm not much of a phone game person
girafeswordsman:
Please let it run on a Motorola Razer

Yes, personally, I'd have made the player character's damage points lower, and reduced the enemy health in line with the reduction. So it takes the same amount of hits to finish him on average, but instead of 150 HP and 45 HP damage, it would have been 45 HP and 14 HP damage.
MilkManX:
I liked the demo. I need to get a new cell phone so I will make sure this will run on it.
SPLIT LIP:
Demo doesn't work for me. Weak.
DestronGenerals:
i was trying to play on the phone controls and couldn't figure out how to get it working then my trial time ran out... hmmm i'm not so inclined to try it again, but maybe later. i'm on a laptop so theres no numpad which probably helps a lot.
Voiceroy:
I started to post this here early Monday morning when I found it, but the time trial was so annoyingly short it made me not want to pimp their website.

Seems like it might be a fun game to play though, but I'd rather have it for a console. I don't have time to play games on my cell.
Deadend:
I love the game so far, but I agree about the cell phone problem for it. I'd prefer this on a handheld or live arcade, but alas, I'll just have to find a phone that'll support it.

Ondoher Prime:
so, what are the phone's system requirements to make it playable? also, will it be playable on ANY mobile phone?

Are you trying to use arrow keys on your keyboard, or click on the phone direction pad on screen? Unfortunately you have to do the latter... which is really annoying.

This game does look pretty sweet though... I'd love for them to do a DS version (or just a full emulated port, but with keyboard controls, etc).
Ramberk Magnus:
I just bought it for my RAZR phone and its pretty fun. Has the right level of simplicity and strategy for a phone game. I've only played the first five episodes but I highly recommended.

Now if only Glu would make this into a full fledged DS game. Pure awesome there.
Misatokitty:
I've had this game for a fortnight. Has it not been released in the US or something? It's dinky, but some of the later levels are hard... Trypticon's massive damage being one of them... the phone 3d graphics are nice as well, for a mobile game.
