I tried searching the forums and couldn't find any mention of this. I was told that it had not been "officially" announced but I'm not sure if it has already been leaked and I've just missed it.
Anyways, I was at an Activision road show the other night where they were previewing their fall lineup (by the way the new Bond game looks awesome!!). Anyways they do a spread of basically the logos for all of their upcoming games and there is the Transformers Animated logo. I asked them what that was up for and they said they were going to have a DS game coming out either this fall or early next spring (they didn't brign a demo to this meeting but promised they would at the next one). They also confirmed that they were doing the game for Transformers 2 (also, not sure if this is news or not)
Well, I'll let you know what I think when I get to play it.
If all this is old please lock this thread and I'll go hide in a corner.

Honestly, while I'm nearly certain it won't happen, ever since I played Autobots, I've been hoping that a G1-themed Transformers game could come on the DS. Due to the simplicity of G1-designs, the DS would handle it more than well enough, and it pulled off the movie-look decently so this would be even better...from a visual standpoint. I never judge a game based on the graphics though, I just like to look at them occasionally.
Come to think of it, I kind of hope this will turn out to be based on Animated.

Awesome! I can't wait for Animated. I hope it plays similar to the TF movie games. I thought they were better than the other console games.
