New Information on Transfomers Revenge of the Fallen Nintendo DS Video Game Picture-1
IGN has posted some further information on the Nintendo DS Transformers Revenge of the Fallen video games. They state that downloadable challenge missions, pitting players worldwide against one another will make a return appearance, in addition to head-to-head deathmatch battles. There are also stated to be 25 diverse locations to "drive, fly and fight" your way through. Most interesting of all, though, is the possibility to fully customize your characters -

For the first time, players can customize their own TRANSFORMERS robot with a modular body part system. Throughout the game, players will have the ability to scan objects to unlock new parts and upgrade their character by installing new unlockable parts in the Medical Bay as they progress through the game.

At least, I believe it's new.

Modular customizing sounds cool enough for a purchase from me.
SoundMaster:
They have taken character creation from the first ds games, and combined it with even more awesome. I will pick this up.
Spyro:
Sounds really awesome.
blackout501st:
i could have sworn that said michael bay, not medical bay XD

LOL me too. xD

WANT GAME.
TRANS+CRAZY:
Oh, that would be SO sweet to modify your own character!

SO WANT THIS GAME!
SPLIT LIP:
Sweetness, loved the first DS game even though I got stuck on the Decepticon level at the military base.
Deadend:
The first DS game was already badass with it's custom scanning vehicles and true 3D world gameplay on DS. I can't wait to see how the modular scanning add in works with that too. If it has online deathmatch, I'm sold. Those two things were about all the first DS game was missing. Now only custom paint apps and custom signias are all that are left. =D

Rock on! Finally a great new DS game on the way to be excited about. Wolvie's movie DS game was fun, but I was a lil saddened they didn't make it an open world instead of side scrolling. VV rocks on DS games. That's all I gots to say.
Cyber-Scream:
Sounds awesome. Will for sure have to pick up this one.
Railguard:
This game looks cool but its a pass for me.
cheetorBWORG:
If they make cop cars accessible as alt modes, I will bite. And if the driving mechanics are fixed. It felt horrible to drive a car around, the high RPM sound drove me mad.
Dran0n:
Awesome. I don't have a DS though.
Martonimos:
Loved the first one, so I'm definitely getting this. I hope they fix the combat systems, though. Boss fights, especially the more difficult ones, are more a matter of luck than skill.

Let me guess - Blackout taking out all those satellite dishes? That was a pain in the ass for me too, but then, I did eventually beat the game.

This, though... this is delicious. I enjoyed the first game, really, but it didn't have real staying power if you finished the story. I'm loving everything I'm hearing for ROTF DS, and it might just have what the original lacked!
primal-convoy:
Ah, but the REAL question on everyone's lips is "Will it be as p1ss-p00r as the previous DS film tie-in?".

I've played GBA games with better 3d graphics engines than that.
Bayless:
i kept reading Medical Bay as MICHAEL bay lol

still tho, customization will be BADASS
Bahamut Prime:
Looks good! One odd question or so - could one change the gender and is the number of digits in the name increasef from seven in the previous game?
Shizuka:
I'll want this too. I liked the first one but there wan't much to do when it was over: no-one else had the game.
SilverDragon:
Well, this sounds cool. I loved the first game, but I lost it last year, so I'd really like to be able to play the new game.
Samus_Ng:
Online deathmatch? Definite BUY!
sjkozy:
sounds pretty good... what we really need though is a charcter roster for each of the games. I'm dying to play as Jetfire or Sideswipe, and even Devastator if it'spossible.
BustaJesse:
Loved the first 2 DS games and I will definitely pick these two up. It is like all I played for a few months in 07.
stufa1978:
Of all the TransFormers Movie(2007) games. I found the DS version(s) the best.
I'm not biased, as I own several versions of it.
The custom bot was a godsend. The only two probs I had with it were...

1, No online multiplayer? What a treat that would have been, Instead we get the Allspark wars thing.

2, The enemies in freeplay mode were waaay too easy. Thus making the replay factor short lived.

Don't get me wrong TF A&D 1 were incredible acomplishements, considering the DS' limits.
I just hope the sequal(s) will improve on the freeplay mode as there doesn't seem to be an online Vs mode... alas.
