Which platform are these from?

I'm still trying to decide whether or not to buy the PS2 version until I know if all these kinds of bells & whistles are also included with it.

That optimus is pretty cool.

From what I can tell (on a post in the Optimus Prime clip) the PS2 guys got screwed over with only a reskin I think

It's kind of strange seeing the G1 bots in a "real world" setting.

Still, very cool none the less.

That Megatron is one of the most awesome things ever, cant wait to trash a city as G1 Megs.

I quite like that transformation as megatron. Turning into a static object wouldn't be much fun. Or he could turn into the amazing giant flying gun. Actually, that'd be sweet.

But I'm very pleased it's not just re-skins.

Personally I like that he flies instead of becoming a gun

I love the reckless abandon displayed by Optimus Prime in truck mode in the second clip, carelessly barreling through traffic and knocking cars out of the way.

I kept hearing him bellowing "Out of the way Hot Rod!" in my head.

Is that for xBox 360? Becasue that's the one I have. And I want to unlock him!

I don't think that the Wii version has those characters. Just skins.

I unlocked G1 Ops on PS3 and I can't even figure out how to turn him on.
I went to the menu and turned it on, then went used some button combos I found on gamefaqs and finally decided that it was just a G1 recoloration that is already very similar to movie prime.

hopefully those models are whats supposed to happen!

also the cybertron levels are available on the PS3 when I thought they'd only be for the 360.

In the Wii version the "G1 Prime" skin is just Movie Prime without flames, from what I've heard.

The game codes only unlock the repainted skins,you have to collect the Autobot/Decepticon symbols to unlock the G1 models.

Ah. Darn, now I need to find symbols.

Just like the trailers, Ironhide opening fire on a busy road full of cars.
Also, in all the online videos, people seem to be doing more damage to the city as Autobots than as Decepticons.

Maybe the Autobots just flipped one day.

Damn the Autobots could be great if they used "Prime = Dick" logic in the games....sigh

That's tight! When they said Skins, I was thinking repaints, not full on, redesigned bodies. Shit, this makes me almost wanna buy the game.

Whoever shot this clip didn't showcase much, Can we SEE Megatron firing his gun please? Can we show more Prime Transforming? Can Megatron fire while flying?

(and btw the fact that he got caught on a broken water tower base and took multiple attempts to climb the building doesn't fill me with confidence)

Wow. I'm disappointed. The Prime model doesn't look very good to me. The Megatron model looks very good though. However, it's ridiculous that the programmers couldn't take the extra time to give Prime his gun instead of making him fire out of his hands. It's also crappy that Megatron fires bullets out of his arm cannon instead of laser blasts. I'll just wait and see if anyone starts making some good PC mods b/c I'm just not impressed w/ what they did given the large amount of time they had to work with it. I also think part of the reason that the G1 selves look out of place is b/c of the way they move/stand. It's kinda just a funky stance when they aren't moving. And to me, the quality of the movie is really too bad to tell whether or not it fits in well b/c even the normal cars look pretty bad in those video clips. The game just looks like it's not that good even though people really want it to be.

off topic i just beat the autobots side of the campaigne and got optimus robovision what is that looks the same and has any one seen ratchet

I think Galvatron qoudl have been a better selection for this game even though he is G2

The G1 Optimus is cool! I didn't know they'd rework his whole design. Did someone say it doesn't work in the PS2 version?? Cause that's the one I'm going to rent...

It's amazing you could all get that from that poor quality vid. I couldn't even tell cars apart from the road most of the time because the lighting was so bad.

In any case, it looks like a straight Masterpiece toy port to me. Not what a movie version would have looked like. A movie version would have had to compromise.

Main reason he stands out seems to be that he's got far brighter colours than the rest in that world, which is rather muted. Think we'll all have to wait for a proper quality vid to really be able to tell though, but these unlockables might just make the game interesting enough for a lot of other fans.

So why are the people that have the game getting the people that don't have it all excited??? Yes G1 Megatron & G1 Prime are in the game BUT you can't really do much with them. You can't choose which character you want which means you only get to use them on a couple levels. Each level has it's own corresponding character. Also, by the time you unlock them (unless a code pops up) you're at the end of the game & you can't carry over what you unlocked to a new game. It's pretty damn pointless so don't get all excited! There's no 2 player, no vs. mode & the game is over by the time you unlock them. So all you can do is replay a couple missions or just drive around the city blowing shit up. I wanted to go through the game again with the G1 characters but it won't let me. What a waste!!!

Strange thing happened on mine, I started a new game & nothing was unlocked except the bonus movie of the Cybertron cartoons opening. Why would only that one thing carry over to a new game???

yeah i love the game but they really shafted us on the g1 stuff. i guess we will never have the g1 game we want. i feel like we were lied to. collect 100 energon cubes so i can have pictures of comic books i already own? if this movie does as well as the hype we will never get what we want. g1 fans step aside we arent needed anymore. no thanks for carrying the franchise for twenty years!

Just seeing the game play (albeit without a mission going on) doesn't interest me at all. But seeing the G1 models in a real world setting seems outta place. Again, I'll pass on the game until I see a review from the one source that I go to for my games on either the PS2 or CP.

I played with these models and it's apparent that these wouldn't work in the movie. They look like big cartoons. Movie Starscream with G1 skin rocks though.

these models look so much better than the movie versions, i keep all the G1 skins and models turned on in my game, they just look better

Now i see why the makers of TFTM '07 opted for "more complex" Transformers...G1 bots in a real world setting looks kinda ridiculous IMHO, like the baloons in a Macy's day parade, they look kiddish and generic.

Most sensible people came to this conclusion anyway.

I think they move around a little clumsily. Also, Megatron's flying "transformation" doesn't look great either. It seems he has almost no control when flying. And, anyways, his flying ability should be standard...not something special. He looks like King Kong climbing those buildings for christ's sakes.

So...about the PS2 version. Just got it today. Under bonus content, there's a section titled 'G1 characters,' with five different spaces to be filled as I unlock 'em. Sooooo...that gives me hope they're in the PS2. Unless there's five different G1 repaint skins...but I'm only aware of Prime, Jazz, and 'Screamer. Apart from that, the PS2 version has the faction symobls to collect, which is another good sign.

Quick note to those who are complaining about the unockables being simple bits of cover art, and the fact that G1 Megs and Prime just show up at the end with no real use...well, that's kinda the standard for licenced game unlockables. I'd like more, too, but I kinda like what's there. Remember, this isn't a G1 game, it's a movie game, so any G1 fan nods at all is a good one...
