I dislike how Megatron's arm becomes his cannon in that screenshot. Looked far better in WFC.

Yeah, Megatron needs to have a cannon hanging off his arm -not have his arm become the cannon.

I wanna hear what he SAYS when you're playing as him.

Couldn't even tell that was Swindle first sight. Really easy they had given him a squared head shape more like the TFA interpretation and the G1 animation model.

Megatron is horrible his whole torso reminds me of oldass Star Fox for SNES enemies.

Swindle's pic is all tan.
Bumblebee's is all yellow.
Cliffjumper's is all red.
Megatron's is all gray.

Starscream's, on the other hand, is actually pretty colorful and thus a lot more interesting.

Starscream's head looks like a big headed dwarf Kup head with a helmet.

Suprised the demo's not out yet considering how much they enjoy showcasing their work.

I love almost everything that HM has done with their 2 non-movie Transformers games. But one of the things that I have repeatedly said that I don't like is the movie/Prime style where the TFs arms turn into their guns. Now on the 1st game and in ALL of the trailers for the 2nd game Megatron's fusion cannon was mounted to his arm, like it should be. But in this pic his arm has transformed into the fusion cannon, please tell me that it is not so. Please tell me that this was some sort of early version pic of a multiplayer pic using the Megatron chassis or a screw up or something dammit. MEGATRON'S FUSION CANNON IS MOUNTED ON HIS ARM!!! MEGATRON'S ARM DOES NOT BECOME A FUSION CANNON!!! AAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I'm legitimately sorry that it bothers you so much, and it irked me too, but I can get past it.

I must agree. I don't like the arms turning into guns either--I wish HMS would really incorporated hand held guns too. Yeah, I know G1 had characters changing their hands into this or that, but hand held guns were and still are equally cool. Handheld guns would help with the arm proportions of several characters too.

However, the Escalation mode demo played by Gameinformer's Matt Miller shows us Megatron in action, and his arms were Transforming left and right. I wonder if his arm look unchanged if you use just his fusion cannon...

I must say I really like all the designs in Fall of Cybertron. But I seem to be a minority... ^^' I loved Megatron and Optimus from the start. That may be because I am easily pleased. Oh well...

I'm not liking Cliffjumper's TFP head on that body. I gguess I'm just too used to the figure.

Gorgeous screenshots; so bright and colourful. Megatron amuses with how bright and silvery it is. Wouldn't expect from the harvester of Dark Energon XD

Optimus' truck mode looks freaking awesome cruising along. I can't wait to mash Decepticons with the bumper

I disagree. The headscuplt looks so much better than the G1 head.

I hate how anyone with a modified body or just completely new characters have huge chins save for those without mouths.
Like, not just for being huge chins, but because they're big flat panels. It's ugly and weird.
I also hate all the girly lips, like on Bumblebee or Cliffjumper.

The chins don't bother me so much as how every character suddenly became obese. Just look at this:



It doesn't look right. It's like his legs are made out of marshmallows.

It's a subtle nod to the fans

Man, Megatron's concept art is so much cooler than the actual model. What happened? I mean, he looks like his stomach is so fat it has cut out the middle man and now just has it's own mouth.

For some reason the characters never look as good as their concept art.

I just never thought I would see the day somebody made robots uglier and sillier than Dreamwave.

I mean I'm still going to mock Dreamwave since Pat Lee was more than a iffy artist he was a legit scumbag thief but that Onslaught right there bothers me visually something real I think I'll go stare at a white all for some time.

Oh shit, I think you just hit upon why I don't like the game models.

It has nothing to do with the concept art or the designs themselves. They're all modeled like Dreamwave robots. The rounded proportions, giant, puffy hands and the pose like they're too fat for their own skeleton. But the concept art and toylines have them sleek, angular and reasonably proportioned.

My God.

I've been thinking they looked like Dreamwave from the first pic of WFC Optimus we got where his head was so small he looked like a tiny guy in a big robo suit Megaman X style, but WFC never quite reached such.... extreme shit as FoC is doing. That Megatron up there is simply ridiculous I cannot imagine him ever walking around without tripping and rolling down the battlefield like a barrel.

No, like a snowball. He starts hitting Decepticons and eventually is just a big fat Decepti-ball.

I'm pretty sure that's how Grand Galvatron came into being.

Save for the stupid Autobot symbol worked into his back and red cheeks, Bumblebee looks pretty good.

I hope HMS will some stop building their characters with western superhero frames, as the overly muscular looks usually results in very bloated Cybertronians.

The Grimlock level would be much more fun if the dinosaur mode was used to roll the decepti-ball around like a Katamari collecting more and more enemies, yes.

Except that's not at all western superhero. Western superheroes are typically muscular yet athletic and, well, heroic in proportions.

Unless DC's new flagship character is the StayPuft Marshmellow Man...

New Optimus and Megatron aside, several of the new characters draw up in concept art look very much like superheros, especially the Dinobots.

These designs wouldn't bother me so much if HMS added a bit more variety.

What I liked about G1 designs has been overlooked and redesigned into cooler and sleeker robotic designs Whatever happened to chubby Bumblebee? I know he always succeeded in the end, but this Bumblebee is much like the live action one: total bad ass. I miss the-little-engine-that-could-Bumblebee that stumbled along the way.

the Autobots had a few plump mainstays. I liked that. We all can't be Mr. Universe. ...FOC Optimus and Megatron are a bit extreme. They remind me a little too much of Dragon Ball Z's Saiya-jin's "Super" transformations: too big to be effective.

Enough already,,, where's the game!!! I want Chistmas NOW!
