I finally caved on pre-ordered this game from Gamestop (I did the same thing for WFC) I want G1 Optimus too much.

Originally, I had planned to save myself $8, get multiple preoroders with each being sent on the time of release at no additional cost to me, but for some reason this game and its many demo vids made me say screw it.

Speaking of preorders, do you guys think the Amazon G2 Bruticus thing will let us play as his components in their G2 colors too? Like, play as G2 Vortex in his level, for example.

I know, right? I guess when it comes to me wanting to save money, Transformers don't apply. I need to go get myself check out. G1 Optimus shouldn't matter...but he does.

That is a very good question. I should hope so; it would be pretty stupid that the colors would only apply when Bruticus is formed.

Anyway, this is the pre-order incentive I should have gone with--the money saver that ships when read and allows other pre-orders to ship as they come in--but G2 Bruticus does nothing for me.

I wonder if Best Buy, Walmart or Target's pre-order incentive will top Game Stops? I would probably consider canceling my pre-order if I could get G1 Megatron, Ultra Magnus or some other character of old not available by other means.

Ooh, that was nice. I guess folks that had a chance to play these demos are starting to put their experiences online now. Sweet.

Still, I think Bumblebee, Vortex, Optimus, Starscream and Grimlock were the only playable characters. Not bad, though I think we'll only be seeing the same stages with little changes here and there.

Bumblebee seems cool enough in the game,Slag is just moving around,that's all.

The Insecticon hive looks alot like a xenomorph hive from Aliens.

Makes me want Infestation 3 to have Xenomorphs as the main antagonists.

Grimlock's gameplay was really, really boring. All he did was use the same attack over and over and walk around at two miles an hour.

Sadly that other footage wouldn't work for me. Shame because I really wanted to see what Megatron's level is about.

Yeah, kinda have to agree with ya Split. i have a feeling i'll be really underwhelmed by grimlock and his "melee" fighting

if there's one thing i hate its having to use the right trigger to perform melee attacks [especially when its just the same attack over and over]

REALLY wish they'd impliment some kind of traditional melee combat system. I know they're all about keeping the controls uniform throughout but if you're gonna do melee, do it right

Grimlock's right in the middile of Insecticon territory, and he's screwing all their plans up and stuff. I love how he was burning everything; I'm going to enjoy setting fire to things

It didn't look all that exciting to me either. Maybe you had to be there in person. Also, am I the only person who is really disappointed after seeing actual shots of his dino mode in action? He looks like a snake with legs, not enough bulk or feeling of mass. And his legs looked like they had too many joints. I dunno, overall kind-of a let down vid.

Have to admit i dont like this. Grimlock in Dinosaur mode has too many leg joints, i spotted atleast 4. The transformation scene doesnt seem to be as smooth as the camera angle jumps around to avoid revealing that their Grimlock model does not have the parts to become the Dinosaur. Also given him being a dinosaur it doesnt seem like he has much weight to him when he can tail attack in the time it takes you to blink.

Also, i know its probably just a bad recording but i couldnt hear what Optimus was saying to Grimlock over the sound of the weapons fire and the ingame noises.

2 things:
1) Some insecticons look green... Maybe there's hope for WASPINATOR and maybe Blackarachnia
2) GIMME A VOYAGER GRIMLOCK NAO

EXACTLY. If you're going to have a character that's completely melee alter the scheme to fit him.

.. dinosaurs have four joints. .. i watched the video, he's got a hip joint, two leg joints and an ankle joint.. sounds about right to me.

Yeah, seriously, people are complaining about the number of joints in Grimlock's legs? He has the correct amount of joints, how is this even an issue?

It is an issue because he doesn't. He's got an extra joint between his ankle and toe.

You know, if they ever do Dinobots outside of the main five, I'd really hope we either get a Velociraptor or a Therizinosaurus. The latter of which is a herbivore so bad-ass, it's family (the therizinosaurs) are in the same group as the freaking carnivores. (the Theropods)

um.. i still see the right amount of joints.. i think you're looking at each round red light being a joint.. which it's not. but they do correspond with a joint. the first one is his toe, which is correct, the next light has a joint between that light and the one above it. then there's the knee joint where the dark silver gives way to the light silver, and lastly you have the hip joint.

that's FOUR joints. which is accurate for grimlock, and is accurate for a tyrannosaurus rex.

case closed. i fail to see the problem.
