tumblr_inline_ngp3d76cxf1slbwep The next Transformers event is now live! Read on for full details!

After years of war, MEGATRON and his forces had finally conquered Earth. The AUTOBOTS had been driven back to a desolate Cybertron, their mighty leader grievously injured and bereft of the Matrix of Leadership. With no one to stop them, the DECEPTICONS’ subjugation of the Earth began in earnest.

After some time, OPTIMUS PRIME, finally recovered from his injuries, puts together a team to take back the Earth from the DECEPTICONS. As they prepare their ship to depart, the INSECTICON SWARM begins their attack, throwing the AUTOBOTS into disarray until SIDESWIPE is able to intervene with the help of the larger warriors on their side.

With the ambush thwarted, the AUTOBOTS arrive on Earth and go head-to-head with STARSCREAM, SOUNDWAVE, and the rest of the DECEPTICON forces. The battle is a desperate one, with neither side gaining the advantage.

Who will reign supreme in the battle for Earth? Who will stand, and who will fall? Find out on TRANSFORMERS Legends: “All Hail Megatron”!

Posted on 12-16-2014 at 12:03 PM by Matty under Video Games
Transformers-Universe-Logo Transformers Universe just announced that they will be closing its doors starting today and issuing refunds to paying members. The announcement copied in its entirety below was a difficult one to make for the development team and one that will sadden many fans of the game.

The game will see full closure by January 31, 2015. Read on for the full update and details.

Today Jagex and Hasbro can confirm that Transformers Universe will close. This decision comes at an important time for both companies as they both realign their plans and focuses for 2015.

What does this mean for our players?

We’re hugely disappointed, but the game will be closing over the coming weeks before its full closure at 10am GMT on 31st January 2015.

As a team, we can’t thank players enough for the support that they have shown us over the last few years of development, and even more so during our BETA period.

What’s next?

The shutdown period will begin from today. As part of the winding down we will be refunding all those that have purchased a Founders Pack, as well as anyone that has purchased relic bundles and starter packs. These refunds should be all processed in the next 30 days. In addition we will be closing the ability for new players to make accounts, those of you that already have accounts will continue to be able to use them until the closure date.

If you haven’t received a refund after 16th January 2015 and believe you should have, then please contact the Jagex customer services team ( We will also be pushing an update live today that will switch off the ability for players to buy any more relic packs, or starter bundles.

As mentioned, on 31st Jan 2015 @ 10am GMT we will be shutting down all servers and forums and will freeze all Transformers Universe related accounts. These accounts will then be live for another 60 days (approx.) for any final queries before deletion on 31st March 2015.

Between now and the date of closure the Jagex CM team will continue to operate on the forums and we will provide relevant updates on the website as necessary.

If you have any queries about your account or refunds please contact our customer support team on Please understand that they may be very busy during this time but they will respond as quickly as possible.

Thank You

Once again we want to thank all of the players that have played Transformers Universe and all those that have worked on the project. We’re sure you have thoughts and feelings that you’d like to share on this, so please do so on our forums. Please bear in mind that this is obviously a challenging time for all involved, especially the CM team. There will be plenty of things we can’t comment on, so please respect their position.

Jagex Transformers Universe Concepts by Jay Howse including Scrounge and Warpath

Posted on 12-08-2014 at 05:53 PM by Sol Fury under Video Games
Warpath_front Concept artist Jay Howse has shared some work which he did for Jagex on their Transformers Universe MOTA game. The artwork he has shared consists of a bevy of CGI pieces, covering a range of characters, from mainstays of the franchise like Ratchet, Prowl and Wheeljack, to additions from the lore of Transformers like Warpath, Chromia and Scrounge (complete with what looks like a special arm). The artwork is rounded out with some completely original designs, such as Break-Neck and Vectorium, plus some vehicle mode designs including a vehicle mode for the Autotrooper.

The artwork is fantastic, and some of the pieces such as Warpath show the textures and the progress of the piece, meaning it is also a good lesson in how a piece like this is developed. Be sure to check it out!

Transformers: Legends Game Event - Belly Of The Beast

Posted on 12-03-2014 at 08:22 PM by SilverOptimus under Video Games
IMG_3365930782024 The next DeNA Transformers: Legends event is now live.

During the last battle to save Cybertron from the monstrous UNICRON, two groups search for their allies. The DECEPTICON force, led by SHOCKWAVE, search for their new leader, GALVATRON. Meanwhile, ARCEE and DANIEL, separated from the AUTOBOTS, make their way through the bowels of their gigantic foe, hoping to find DANIEL’S father and their friends.

As they continue their exploration, the two groups happen upon each other, and quickly prepare their weapons. But before either side can fire a shot, CYCLONUS and SCOURGE are attacked by UNICRON’S internal defenses. RATBAT barely manages to escape their fate, and attempts to free his allies while his AUTOBOT foes are busy defending themselves from the same robotic arms.

Will ARCEE and DANIEL find their friends before it’s too late? Can the DECEPTICONS survive long enough to escape from the depths of UNICRON? Find out on TRANSFORMERS Legends: “Belly of the Beast”!

  • Arcee and Daniel available on the Episode Spacebridge.
  • Top Reward Card : Shockwave

- This week’s event is based on the original Transformers animated movie (1986). The movie is available on DVD and Blu-ray from all major retailers.

Build notes:

Boss difficulties and payouts have been adjusted. The previous Raid Boss event was a major success and we hope you enjoyed the shower of Battle Cubes but we needed to dial this back as exploits have been discovered that allowed players to farm cubes at a much higher rate than intended.

The Battle Chest has undergone a slight revision. Players will need to purchase both the R6 and R5 episode cards in each chest before the next chest will unlock.

Transformers Game Planned For Nestle Arcade?

Posted on 12-03-2014 at 09:19 AM by SilverOptimus under Video Games
Hasbro-Arcade-Transformers-Running-Game PEGI (the European Rating Board for Video Games) has rated a possible new Transformers themed game for Nestle Arcade.

The game is rated "3 years and up" and may tie-in with a future licensing promo.

The game has been developed by Marmalade Game Studio; the developers of the Hasbro Arcade. This raises a question whether or not this is the European version of the Transformers: Beast Hunters endless-runner for Hasbro Arcade.

Update: French website Play Smarter has more info.

"The Transformers license has not finished to be talked about at mobile scene, with Nestle Arcade Transformers Running Game.

This brief information comes from our colleagues Pockett Videogames that allegedly learned of the project through the European classification body. Nestle Arcade Running Game Transformers will be developed by the studio Marmalade Game which has also participated in the development of excellent titles such as Godus or Beyond Space.

This famous game is scheduled on mobile and PC and will be as its name indicates (Nestlé ed) an advertising game. We do not have more information about Nestle Arcade Running Game Transformers but we leave you a video of the latest productions of the studio, that gives a good overview of their skills."

Upgrades given for the Vehicles and Weapons; packing more speed and more firepower.

Jagex Transformers Universe Concept Artwork including Onslaught

Posted on 11-30-2014 at 06:17 PM by Sol Fury under Video Games
Onslaught_Skin01 Concept artist Mark Brassington has shared some of the artwork which he was commissioned to do for Jagex's Transformers Universe MOTA game.

The artwork includes a redesign of classic character Combaticon Onslaught, who has some Earth-mode cues taken from his Fall of Cybertron design. Other characters include an Autotrooper - you might remember them from the Kiss Players series, or their cameo in Transformers Animated which led to them getting a Botcon exclusive toy. The new Autotrooper seems to take a few cues from Fall of Cybertron Jazz - so perhaps scope for customizers there?

The lineup is rounded out by a trio of newcomers, named Bombast, Clearcut and Meltdown.

Check out the artwork at the link above and share your thoughts by hitting the discuss button.
