Just pure awesomesauce. This guy is the Jason Voorhees of Transformers.
Autobot-X1:
Great review!! Looks sweet, can't wait to get one!!
SilverDragon:
Onslaught looks just like his name: a vicious, relentless killing machine. I really like the look of this toy, but the inflated cost down here puts me off him.

Granted the picture below doesn't have the best lighting but you get the idea.
Looks to be the other way around. Takara has made all the Ultras resemble the originals more.
Randy | Thanks, Randy for the help Definatly getting both now!

IhsantheCursed:
This is one cool looking con.
I remember the little "dead" period between the end of G1 and the start of G2 here in the US. I wrote to Hasbro telling them that they should remake the originals. I would have killed for the stuff there makeing today back then. This Onslaught is a PRIME example.
Im SOOO getting this guy.
sixshot2K:
I want him I will get him!

saberconvoy:
Good Transformer.
Good thing im making room for him and all the other classic toys. But i just wish hasbro would make the rest of the combaticons so i can make bruticus.

So we just need a new Blast Off.
You won't get to make Bruticus, but put them in a group together and Starscream has his brigade!
Lumpy:
draven, thanks for the comparison pics with megatron...i totally can't wait to own onslaught...he's always been one of my absolute favorites, and i totally love this update...
pscoop:
Thanks for the review Draven. The figure really looks great. If I had to choose between this or Powerglide, Onslaught wins all day long.
Allsparky:
Another great review with great pics. He will also come home in August with Powerglide. It will be a great matchup.
Bahamut Prime:
Very awesome!!
Soundwarp:
Wow Draven you don't dissapoint with your stuff, great pics and write up man!
Ravenxl7:
Great review. Onslaught is definetly on my to-get list. I can't really find any major flaws in the way he looks. The gun on his arm being spring loaded is a nice little surprise. Just curious, but, is there any way, for a lack of better terms, to fold up the butt-flap-like thing on him? It looks like it might get in the way a little. You can see it in the picture of yours below, and it looks as if it can fold up. Quote:

Great review Draven!
IMO, the best Ultra from Classics so far. Quote:

Peaugh:
Wow. Your reviews have totally made me flip flop on my Universe plans. Powerglide looks more like a pass for me, with Onslaught coming out of nowhere to land on the "To Get" pile. Thanks!
Shin Densetsu:
This and Powerglide prove that Ultras kick ass for Universe. Looks like the most powerful Classics Decepticon so far.
Kingplay:
gonna get TWO of these
Cujo:
i love this guy... my most favorite ultra ever
rattrap007:
Looks like in the pics you forgot to slide his ass plate up. Flip up the panel then slide it the part up. makes it look a bit better.
unicronsupreme:
Onslaught matches up pretty well with leader Bulkhead. They're both APCs even!
and of course, he looks ridiculous with the headmaster on: Kingplay: Quote:

Check out the edit, bro; I found a couple of things and addressed your gripes. He might be about to gain more points. | I'm having difficulty locking in the gray tabs on the feet on the right leg when I fold the wheel up into the leg. It's like that side has an inner leg that is too thick. Anyone else with this problem?
Mr Grimm:
Is the siren sound supposed to be continuous? When I press and hold the button on mine it just goes 'whoop', then stops. The gunfire is fine though.
Obvious Prime:
Man, Onslaught looks awesome. A must buy for me. Quote:

Ill get him if I see it.
Although I liked the red colored windows I saw in the early pics off that TFAN mag pics of him early, looks like they put gold/yellow flavor windows arg.
Caine:
I'll definitely buy his Henkei counterpart.. goestron:
I just got this figure today. Onslaught's legs are kinda cheaply put together. The pegs are barely able to do their job in holding the leg parts together. I'm considering using those clear plastic bands that come with the figure to keep the leg together. Other than that he's all that I expected and well worth the money I paid.
On other news, I don't know how many of you have watched Sean Long's review of Onslaught, but during his horrible LONG review he accidentally found a third sound box trigger. It sounds something between a loud engine roar and a transformation sound.
It's on Onslaught's waist on the left side. There is a little black nub.
I can't figure out if toy designers scrapped the idea or it's not working properly. During Sean Long's review he was able to recreate the sounds in Alt-mode and in Bot-mode. It could explain why Onslaught is the only ultra class figure without a transformation sound.
But yeah... A heads up to those who own the figure. Help solve the mystery!
Optimus Sledge:
Onslaught looks as awesome as expected. My only niggle (and it's a little niggle) is that his gun and shield are mounted on the bottom of his forearms.

Just got this guy today; one of my favourite transformers Grimlock_13:
Onslaught is absolutely AWESOME. Fun transformation, solid vehicle mode (when everything is lined up right), and a fantastic robot mode with good articulation. The SFX are REALLY lame though. Even though I knew it was an Ultra I was still surprised at how tall the robot mode was. It looks super imposing. After fiddling with it for about an hour and a half it rocketed to one of my fav Classics toys yet. Just awesome! dmc2008: Quote:

I think this problem could have been avoided if they stuck with the version shown in the instructions... Check out Step 4 Part 3. You're supposed to be able to push those wheels in, allowing for a bit more room.
I really do love this guy, but for $25 I want better legs.
Obvious Prime:

Likes:
- Alt mode is a cool vehicle.
- Robot mode is b-a-d-a-s-s/
-Perfect translation of Onslaught.
Dislikes:
-The damned legs with the silver/gray parts not being able to be pegged in without it popping out every fricken other minute.
-Wish he had a bigger weapon in 'bot mode.
-Missing transforming sound effects.
One question:
Why are the silver/gray parts on the legs able to swivel on the black hinge that attaches it to the rest of the leg? That black hinge can swivel 360 degrees. But in alt mode it's in the same place on the leg as in alt mode. There's no need for it to swivel 360 degrees at all.
clonemanager:
anyone gets photo comparison of his vehicle & robot mode with other Classics 's
DoubleClouder:
After transforming him a few times, and messing around with the gray leg piece, mine now stays in place. However, the wheel is still pushing against the gray struts.

After drying it all plugs in perfectly and holds even when fiddling with him.
SWOOPDAWG:
I recently got Onslaught and I am having trouble getting his pegs to stay connected. I'm havng trouble with the pegs that keep his legs together, the peg that keeps his shield attached in vehicle mode, and the peg that attaches his chest to his torso (step #8 in his instructions). These pegs keep popping open/out. Is this a common problem or do I have a "lemon"? Or am I transforming him incorrectly?
I'm getting frustrated with this - it is keeping a good toy in my opinion from being a great toy.
Can anybody help me?

Can anybody help me? | Seems to be a common thing at least with the legs and shield in alt mode. First I've ever heard about the chest problem. I'm going to say you probably got a lemon.
