Got him today and really like the color scheme on him.Very similar to skywarps colors.
He is a repaint of the ultra class powerglide
REVIEW

PROS
The colors and paint apps are very nice on him(should have been released in this mould first)

CONS
no improvements to the mould
sounds are the same
AND yes the heart is there
(it's black though)
OVERALL
these colors work alot better than the powerglide colors.I recommend getting him over the powerglide version.And he looks like skywarp

Really really want this, clunkiness look about him aside, he looks really nice, the colors show a lot more detail than the cream-gray on Powerglide.

i'm kind of convinced to buy this because unlike blades or springer, who i feel that if we're lucky we could get new molds of, these are repaints of the NEW molds as micros...

hey how doe the powerglide/stormcloud's missiles look, swapped? because i think the black missile would look better with this guy, and the gray one would fit better with the powerglide, just wondering if the gray missile fits the gray on powerglide :3

I like these colors better, but those yellow parts are naaaaaaaasty. The yellow face plate alone kills the whole thing for me.

I'm thinking if the face plate's Radioactive Vomit color is just painted on it'll be easy to strip the paint and paint over it with silver.

The face and knees are just painted.

I plan on redoing them shortly(i was thinking black or purple)

Dude looks nice, better than Powerglide. I love how he's decked out in the "official" decepticon colors, and the deep translucent blue looks good too. I'd like to get him, maybe more than I want Silverbolt.

Wowza, that is one seriously ugly repaint. Between this and that Treadbolt thing, Powerglide's new white color scheme is suddenly looking gorgeous by comparison.

I'm a little nervous to see what they'll repaint Onslaught & Silverbolt into... because we all know there *will* be repaints of them eventually.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I always thought the G2 repaints & color choices were beyond epically awful, and it never surprised me that TF essentially bottomed out as soon as that line showed up on store shelves in all its neon glory. I *am* surprised, however, that there are evidentially people who not only liked it but who also want to see these kind of homage repaints being done with present day figures.

Either way, it seems unlikely they'd repaint Onslaught or anyone else into a G2 version of the same character. Seems that with the Universe line, all repaints are destined to be new characters.

Oddly enough I thought the Stormcloud repaint kinda looked like an evil police airplane...

Well I for one am not only not going to be buying the Ultra line cause its too much money but will not buy any new repaints for the same reason.

I guess I'm in the minority here, cuz I prefer Powerglide 100000% over this repaint. Like someone else mentioned, that awful green/yellow detail is just AWWWFUL. If it were done in almost ANY other color it would have been a win.

i for one would not mind a desert camo redo or the urban camo paint scheme like in the universe/armada reissues they did a couple of years ago....

I loved those two remolds of bruticus and would not mind getting two onslaught's in those colors....

here, here! I second that comment. No offense to anyone here, but those colors are godawful, how can anyone think those colors work???? I can understand if the colors match, but c'mon, green and purple????

Silverbolt would have made a better homage to stormcloud than powerglide. Still, I'm passing on this one anyways.

Thank you, tamo, for posting a image and text-based review. I was more than happy to read over it and gain insight from the front page, as opposed to the video toy reviews fped that bump half of the other news bits down the page significantly.

That's an interesting homage. I would have thought however, given the original Micromaster Stormcloud's alt mode as a sort of triangular jet type aircraft, that Silverbolt might have been a better repaint choice. Still, it's an impressively obscure character to resurrect, so kudos to whoever was doing the research.

I don't know if I'll buy him or not... I don't usually buy $25 figures at all, and having broken that rule and already bought Powerglide, I'm not sure a repaint tempts me. But we'll see.
