Hiya guys! I was searching on Ebay and I found 3 auctions being sold by user Tfctoy for Classics 2.0 Blaster, Prowl, and Sunstreaker with new screenshots of the 3 toys!

P.S: These are not my auctions they are Ebay user TFCtoy's auction and I do not own the items so do not harass me with trades for these items because I do not own them.

Some of you might notice I ripped this whole thing from TFORMER's boards from Trans Fan Zx, but my TFORMER's member name is Trans Fan Zx so I decided to put it on here so I didn't steal this because I have a profile here and Tformers.

I've been keeping an eye on these new Classics, and oddly enough, these are the first pics I've seen that make both Prowl and Sunstreaker a MUST-buy for me. (they were a must(lowercase)-buy before) I think it's just the stance and the angle of the pics, but these look really great. Even Blaster looks good.

I bought Prowl and Sunstreaker off this guy simply because the pictures he uses are so nice, they are the first ones which have made the toys look exceptional rather than good plus they are testshots which I collect so I am well chuffed.

I really dislike Blaster...

blaster seems like a MUST PASS UP to me. I just don't see why they made him a plane when he's a radio

If they had just gone the extra mile to make a new head for the toy, I'd be all over it. But as it stands, it just screams "Red and grey Soundwave" to me, and nothing more.

Not to harp on poor Blaster, especially since that mold made a really, really nice Soundwave homage in Cybertron, but this repaint is weak, which is a shame since Blaster has always been one of my favorite characters. It would have been really cool if he could have gotten a Classics mold of his own.

What is the name for the bird that comes with Blaster? I just want to get the bird. Otherwise the toys sux. Cant be Blaster with Soundwave's head.

Mold is very good. Love playing with it.

it's fun, difficult to line up for his jet mode but it is good.

Its BLACKrock, like the Marvel TF comic character.

I would've preferred it in blue with Raindance for the name, but w/e.

Blaster would have been Cool If we'd Gotten a New Animal & New head....Heck I would have settled just for a new head, but this is just another repaint.

I think Blaster looks a fair bit better with these pictures, but I'd still rather see him with a new head. Oh well, he isn't as bad as he looked at first. Prowl still comes off as too plain to me, but I'm sure reprolabels will fix that up, haha.

God Prowl and Sunstreaker can't get here fast enough. Those pics do make Blaster look good, but I know how gawd-awful that mold is, so I still won't be buying it.

Truth. I'm really hoping ReproLabels does has SG faction symbols coming down the line, cause I'll pick up a Blaster and slap them on him.

is anyone else bothered by the QC issues prowl seems to have? Aside from the cheap plastic, a black painted front bumper on top of white plastic makes the seams look really jarring. I'm really digging the mold, but so far the Bluestreak/Silvertreak redeco looks to do it FAR more justice...

I agree partially. A stealth jet sort of fits Soundwave, because stealth, intelligence, and electronic warfare has always been his domain. He is essentially Megatron's spymaster.

Blaster is a totally different sort of character, so this trend towards just using Soundwave molds to repaint into Blaster just isn't such a good idea. I mean, the mold looks alright in those McDonald's colours, I'll confess... but without a new headsculpt or animal companion, it doesn't make the grade for me.
Though I'm reminded of a fan custom from some years ago that repainted that mold into Blaster, with a new head and a scratchbuilt Steeljaw that transformed into that hex-block. THAT was awesome.

Personally, if we're trying to get away from mass-shifting personal electronics (and a tape player at that!), I'd rather see Blaster as some sort of car or van with a tricked out sound system... which would at least blend him in with the the other Classic Autobots' car theme.

So yeah... a repaint of TFA Soundwave I guess.

Makes sense, though the Botcon comic had the white Ipod-color Music Label Soundwave standing in as the Shattered Glass version.

Although I'm not a fan of the mold, I might end up getting Blaster. There are a couple different kitbash ideas I have for the mold. As for Sunstreaker and Prowl, they're already on my to-get list, along with their repaint/retools.

Did I miss some other Soundwave-->Blaster redeco? I wouldn't call this one occurrence a trend.

The only other Blasterish toy in my recent memory is BTA Broadblast, and he was a Skids redeco.

Blaster... not so much. Maybe with his own mold and minions. As a constant Soundwave repaint, bleh.

I'm going to have to buy a Robot Heroes Blaster and use the head on the Classics version to give him a more g1-accurate look...

Even one Soundwave to Blaster repaint is a trend that I would like to have stop before it turns into a White Optimus = Ultra Magnus scenario. I'm just hoping it doesn't continue into the future.

So call it something else, no one'll stop you. If you're sticking with G1-ish stuff, I'd suggest Graph, after the Japanese pterosaur cassette. Seems a sensible switch to go from pterosaur to bird.

I do really like the mould, and this redo. My plan is to get this, knock up a new head, and try my hand at fabricating hexpod minions, as Freestyle did with Steeljaw (he's the guy SMOG mentioned on page 3). Blockrock can be repainted as Laserbeak, and my existing Laserbeak can be redone as Buzzsaw..

They transform the same way which is stupid. This is just a bad move on Hasbro's part. Im giving Blaster to my son which he can break into a million pieces.

Yeah, I saw that. I'd rather spend $20 than $90 anyday. Plus, he follows the suit of most of the SG 'Cons are jets. And he's in his Autobot foe's colours; just like SG Screamer.

I think I must have been unconsciously referencing all the Soundwave-to-Blaster fan bashes I've seen done. But considering Hasbro's record when it comes to repaint opportunities, I think it's a valid concern.

I'm sure you already know the answer to that one... but BB and Cliffjumper had identical structures and similar cartoony styling despite the differences in car modes, and were often associated with each other (and palette swapped for each other) for that reason. With the classic VW Bug design verboten for new versions of Bumblebee, we saw his car mode move more towards a sporty economy car/rally car design... which also suited Cliffjumper well.

That's the reasoning for Classics at least. I have no idea why BB got repainted as CJ in the movie line though...

Sunstreaker and Prowl are musts but I'm rather unerwhelmed with Blaster. I already have the cybertron Soundwave and I really wanted a new mold.

I think blaster works great as a jet. I have soundwave, If they had put blasters exceptionally round head on there it woud'nt have look as techy and a bit misplaced.
