just got my email from the club....
The pre-orders are online now. Please try to place your order on the web as to minimize phone calls.
Products are expected to arrive to us by the end of Sept. I'll let you know when they get on the boat!
Thanks for your patience. We wanted to get the new credit card system running before we started taking orders as it will help our international friends.
transformersclub.com/shop select the pre-order check box and search to find both items.
Thanks for your support!

How much is Nightbeat supposed to sell for?

FINALLY! Ordered 1 of each... though they've been moved to LATE September now? Ugh, another month of waiting...
Tech Spec:
Damn for some reason it is not accepting my credit card.... I tried to different ones too mineraljane:
I really want Nightbeat and would join if I knew for sure about Botcon next year. Does membership permit a discount on non-attendee sets? (I realize that information is somewhere, just hoping someone knows for sure.)
Bumble Prime:
yep, mineraljane. It does

I'd be all over the Seacons if munneh wasn't so tight.
And if I was a member.
Runamuck:
Meh. They charge your card right away. Can't get these now. benzo: Quote:

It worked for me now! I just used a different web browser. I used IE instead of Firefox.

If they didn't charge until shipping (like BBTS and Amazon), I'd be all over the Seacons right away.
Does anyone know if this is a case where they only have a certain number of these figures available, or will they be manufacturing to fill pre-orders (plus maybe a few extra)?

Order's already been done, so no more, no less.
Frankly, unless there's some HUGE hidden demand for these that I'm not seeing, and seeing how Astrotrain & Airazor have sold, I'd say there's no particular rush.

Arrgh, Beastbox-and-sunlink'd!
Peaugh:
Sweet, order for Seacons has been placed!
Prometheum5:
Wooohooo! Seacons preordered, and the other Club Combiner figs are mine!

Grabbed Nightbeat, love him, and look forward to him, I would like the Seacons as the box alone is too beautiful, but, I just can't swing it right now.

darkmgmstr:
Great, I just need to save more money to get a set of each... *sigh*
squirrelcar:
I'll buy 'em.
But damn, FP. No rush, huh, guys?
Optimus747:
Maybe in a couple months when I can afford it I'll get the Seacons set, maybe Nightbeat, too.

credit worked fine for me ... Seacons are mine !!!
slugslinger2004:
I paid for my membership Friday, but everytime I attempt to create an account I get an invalid message. Oh well, hopefully it'll work tomorrow and I'll place my order then.
aksmth:
I'm going to order them as soon as my paycheck comes in. mineraljane:
Not taking my cards either right now. I'm using Safari? Eh.
I'd really like the Seacons too, but I have a G1 set and with so many figures coming out in the next few months, it's tough to create some sort of hierarchy for purchases.
ikado:
I'm the biggest Seacon fan, but why don't I like them in these colors? This is a tough choice.

megamus:
Website is overloaded. I made it to the checkout and lost it.
BigPhill:
I can't even get to the site.
So much for them spending all this time testing the system, so that it won't become overloaded and such.
I suspect people will be buying multiples, with the intent of selling them to recoup costs. If I miss out on buying them cause of this, that's me done with the club.
Dr. Lucky:
I'm sure they limit people from buying too many.
reillyd:
I'm really disappointed with the Transformers Club. Now I know as an international member, we're the poor cousins, but the price they're charging for shipping is really sticking it to us.
Suppose I want to buy just one nightbeat. As a club member, it SHOULD be cheaper than a non-member who lives in the USA, right?
These items are scheduled to ship within 4 weeks of Sep 30, 2008
2008 Club Exclusive Nightbeat $48.00 1 $48.00
Total: $48.00
Shipping Options
FedEx International Priority -- $86.35
FedEx International Economy -- $82.74
Post Office Express Mail International -- $40.00 (includes signature required)
It costs more to ship a single item than the item is actually worth. Its blatant price-gouging, and its going to be cheaper for most people to buy off ebay and use actual shipping price than to use their member discounts.
BigPhill:
The international shipping from them is always expensive, but its cheaper than it used to be.
Also they said at BotCon that they don't put restrictions on quantities of an item in an order, as they would then run the risk of not selling all of something.

Hmm, not sure which country you're talking about there BigPhil. I do know it was cheaper to pay scalper prices on Airrazor and ship it to Australia than it was to buy direct off the club as a member. Eighty dollars for a forty dollar toy (even via express) is way more than actual cost. I'd much rather the profit for buying a toy goes direct to the club than to the grey market of onselling them, but at the premium markup they're putting on shipping it just doesn't make financial sense to be a member or buy off them.
Loosecannon:
As a non member its a minimum of $210
or in English £110
Thats a little expensive really, not sure if I can cope with that or not. If I didnt have to pay the extra for the membership I might of bitten, but as it is there is some thinking for me to do!

I would pay the $120 for the Seacon set without a second thought, but $160 is really steep. I understand I'll get the magazine and some special club repaint, but the extra $40 is really hard to justify.

If that is the case I have to wait one week to make a buy on these.
flywheels:
Gonna wait until my wife gets paid next week...hopefully they'll still be available. Why do they have to charge your card so early?
BigPhill:
Shipping for 1 Nightbeat and 2 Seacon sets was a touch over $80, for me, so not sure why others are getting weird prices.

The post office price for Nightbeat is $40 and $50 for Seacons and $60 for one of each.
The $60 price is well not great, I know Ive had other items of similar size cost less but not a lot less.
4 of each cost $154. which is $38.50 per set. But that doesnt help a group purchase as sending them out once they arrive would eat up the saving.
Anyway you look at it, its a lot of money on top of already pricey toys. I'd to see a pick up at Botcon option for those that know they'll be going. Honestly I'd be happiest just buying them then, but unlikely as it is I'd hate it if they sell out before then.

I should pay around 230$ for 2 Seacon giftsets, and 124$ for Fedex shipping.
FEDEX! No other trackable option.
NO wait, does it mean that TFCC suddenly became smarter than BBTS, which sends me TFs for half of their cost? Just to know.
Fedex. 124$ of shipping to Italy. Why am I member, in the end? They lost me.
Easterling Capt:
then dont use FedEx and use the other one. Express Mail is trackable online to most countrys.
Thundershot:
Got mine ordered!

This means that we do not order, hold, or place aside any quantities of products until we receive payment with your order (we do bill your credit card right away to make sure that it is valid).

while that overseas shipping might be high, i kinda doubt that the club is ripping people off...they seem pretty good about charging actual cost, maybe a little shipping and handling...and they pack their stuff super well too, so that's probably part of it...and then for a large box, like the seacons, most places charge more for bigger boxes...kinda sucks for you overseas guys, but i dont know what else to say...
giga-galvatron:
just when i dont have any money. I wonder how long these are gonna be sold. I might have the bite the bullet and the large sum of extra after market prices on ebay.
