SDCC Exclusive Soundwave Packaging Images

I am finding it difficult to understand how Hasbro considered Soundwave to be a Level 3 out of 4 transformation sequence... i rescently got the TRU reissue and it's cool and all but definitely not difficult to transform. Perhaps one of the easiest ever.

Ah man, why did they include Buzzsaw instead of Rumble? It would have been awesome to have one of each of the main four tapes.

That doesn't make any sense having it with 4 tapes. Already have my G1 with box and TRU reissue. Pass for me.

Because if I wasnt a fan, I sure wouldn't spend 40 dollars on a 1-2 conversion scale.

If it's the single tape door version, and it's easily avaiable, and I have the cash for it, I'd love to pick it up. If it's Soundblaster painted up like Soundwave again, I'll pass. Again.

I am on a VERY limited income and wouldn't have any $$$ for this until the first week of August. Looks like I'm screwed again. My vintage Soundwave was stolen and it would be nice to have this.

Please forgive my ignorance, but how do you know how long this toy will be at HTS? I haven't bought any exclusive Transformers since Alternators Rodimus, so I have no idea.

At any rate, I hope you are right and it doesn't sell out in a manner of minutes like some of the exclusives have been known to do.

I have gotten some replies stating that there will be ample supplies of this Soundwave available at HTS. Please pardon my ignorance, but can I ask how this is known?

I already have the re-issue Soundwave with Ravage and Laserbeak. No need for me to get Universe Soundwave just in order for me to get Buzzsaw and Ratbat.

The AFA ones were tossed up months after the fact though. And they're only still for sale because of the ridiculous mark-up from the "grading". The actual SDCC figures sold out a looong while ago.

If they get as many in as last year though, ordering them shouldn't be a problem. Last years exclusives were either REALLY unpopular, or HTS got a ton of them in hopes of the same "sell out two hours after we put them up, then crash the website and tie up the phone lines" fiascoes from the first two years.

In other words, HasBLO will not be prepared for this.

So, looks like I will be needing help getting Soundwave afterall. I just have a feeling that the sales on this are going to be better than last year.

Also, I completely agree about the AFA crap. It's amazing what kinds of prices people think they can expect just because a toy was handed to these people. What an effing joke. I am a long time collector and fan of many types of toys, and I'll be DAMNED if I EVER allow an AFA piece of any kind in my home.

I'm not sure what to do about this Soundwave thing, so does anyone have suggestions? Can anyone help me get one at the SDCC? Should I just give up and hope for the best from HTS?

It looks nice, but I have the Takara reissue so no need for this. Great for those that still need a Soundwave (and mini-cassette army!)

They need to do a re-imagining of G1 Soundwave like the current Universe/Classics line. I know the majority of us are using Cybertron Soundwave but I want a new one!

This is the first pic that I've seen how Soundwave is package.

From what I understand, the bot mode picture showing the purple external cassette door is incorrect. It is a reissue of the G1 version that has the cassette door flush with the body. It also has FOUR cassettes, not three. Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat and Ravage.
