Powercore Combiners and Hunt for Decepticons Released in Australia

Australia usually gets things before everyone else - sometimes a couple weeks prior, sometimes a couple months prior, or in the case of some toys, they only exist in Australia! And while Australia has a lot of very unique things to it (including very deadly spiders! Thanks for scaring me away from the "Land Down Under" forever Discovery Channel, who just so happens to be partners with Hasbro for their new channel "The Hub" which will be airing Transformers Prime and other old Hasbro programming, how's that for the most random crossover advertising?), they can now add Powercore Combiners to their list!

That's right - the highly anticipated Powercore Combiner 5-Packs were released in Australia! Though not on the shelves, they apparently also had some Transformer named Seaspray but wouldn't sell him because he's just too awesome to handle on any day before the weekend (though if he were named "Cosmos"....).

Powercore Combiners are scheduled for an August release in the United States.

I needs to get me Sea Spray.
griffin-of-oz
Also now sighted in two other stores - one store even had the 2-packs out. So these are not just an isolated store now, these are definitely being fully released to stores here that have the space or demand for them.
(gotta go find me some 2-packs)
ORIO
I love Australia. And I love hot blondes with hot Australian accents.

But now I officially hate all of you

Why do I suddenly get the urge to laugh maniacally right now? Oh yeah, Australia's getting new awesome stuff before America. This should make up for the utter lack of Human Alliance toys in my area (has anyone seen 'em in Adelaide? At all?).

MWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!
lambi
Huzzah! I am an australian!
Filo Prime
This is what I love about being down here

Shit! That was meant to be urge, not large. How the fuck did I manage to fuck that up? I blame my overexcitedness at this piece of news.
Beastbot X

To be fair, I'm probably the last person to judge when it comes to typos and grammar gaffs.
mac&cheese
are these the same size as the rotf superion and bruticus?
Lockdown
Yeah we are so lucky getting these early almost makes up for not getting Animated: Shockwave, Skywarp, Wreck-gar, Electrostatic Soundwave and Arcee......no wait it really doesn't not at all.

SharkyMcShark
Yeah I got the two five packs and Huffer.

Huffer is really neat, the Combaticons are pretty good, and the Aerialbots are alright.
RedAlert Rescue
I think they will ship quickly in the UK too.
jestermon
Hey I'll trade you some Vegemite and a Koala for your toys.
Harbinger
i saw them all today at my Toyworld, nearly bought Brimstone but i am still thinking if i want the power core combiners.
kajobaldisimo
im looking at the packaging and it reminds me of rotf/universe bruticus/superion and it makes me wonder

do you think the little kids will be dissappointed to find out that the other 4 robots in the pack can't turn into robots?
miloman92
i was at that mr toys today and i got skyburst
Shadowbreaker
They're getting closer....... I hope they arrive here soon.

I'm itching for something new.

Australia isn't part of europe, it just gets region 2 pal encoded dvds and such.

thank god for argos over here though, it wouldn't suprise me if thats the only place i see these guys when they hit the uk
The Madness
I laughed at the news write up on the front page. It would have been appropriate if it was written by someone from Europe/ UK.
Thanks to Hasbro AU for their efforts, though I'd still like Universe Legends etc.
cheetorBWORG
Hey LOOK! It's Doctor Who Martha Jones!
Skyclaw
It's interesting how they got PCC's before US did, even though i heard Canada was suppose to be the first to get any new Transformers stuff. Oh well as long as it gets here, i'll be happy.

I don't think kids are nearly as picky as we are. If they like the gimmick, it will be fine.

Australia (and Oceania, I believe) are Region 4, actually. IIRC, Hasbro UK used to handle Transformers down here (or I was led to believe when I sent a letter to Hasbro about a dodgy gimmick mechanism in a Batmobile toy and they fobbed me off to Hasbro UK.

I presume some time in the 90s Hasbro Australia was established.
Bovril
Gaaaah I see a Mindwipe in that photo *cries*
Grimwing
Whoo! Lots of stuff in the photo to compare the size of the power core team commanders size to. The iron man on the left is a pretty handy comparison.

The packageing is groovy. Appropriately sharper than the revenge packageing surrounding its spot. Definitely keeping a sealed set of all the power core releases.
Razorrider
Awesome, must mean Perth is getting those too. Here's hoping the other TF toys including Drift (must have Drift XD) come too
[Wing_Saber-X]
Oh noes-- wow, like that is such a "surprise"!

But way to go Australia Tranfans!
SilverDragon
Begun, the new line has.

There aren't 4 other robots in the pack. There's 4 vehicles that automatically turn into limbs. Having played with Smoulder & Bombshock I'm certain the kids will love the play value in these toys.

And if there's any Aussie out there that would like to send me Huffer, Searchlight & Skyburst ...... I won't even mention last Sunday in Bridgetown.... that much :-)
mikeyfuzz
Hot damn, New toys coming very very soon. That makes me happy

Try Midland Toyworld mate, that's where I got mine.

No Generations figs.
ae_productions
Might pick up the Huffer, depending on how he looks in person.
TechNoMad
I dont understand why the U.S. releases are said to be in August. I really thought I read somewhere that there were supposed to May and June releases for the 1st new waves. Hell I was expecting Seaspray in April. Can someone provide clarification on this?

And Congrats to OZ, the rest of are wishing we were there right now.
marvoflg
This is a good sign. Maybe we will see something before August now. This drought of nothing new is starting to wear on me.

Or maybe Australia is reluctant to sell "Seaspray In Name Only" because he barely looks like Seaspray.

Anyway, congrats to you lucky Aussies for getting the new toys first.
blackout501st
awesome for you guys! hope you enjoy them!
