Board member tfctoy has put two auctions (here and here) up on chinese website Taobao for upcoming Power Core Combiner figures. We again have Bombshock in his combined glory, but we now get to see Decepticon Smolder used as a center gestalt piece with his alternate combiner head.

THAT looks much better. These now slide into a maybe. I like that they included a picture of the team with a leader!

Its too bad they didn't do Devastator like this. That would have been awesome!
Mechafire
Dat combiner head...

All are bought on sight.
marvoflg
Wow. These looks awesome.

ComicGuy89
MUCH BETTER. Looks like I have to start saving up after all!
HIM666fan

Ive never owned a combiner set but damn i cannot wait for these!! They look awsome and a hell of allot better then those picks we saw recently!

smolder looks awsome combined!!
LUGNUT1995
ok, now im impressed
Lumpy
so awesome... can't wait for these to drop! now we just need more images with the other limbs too... so much combination potential my brain might just explode!
Opticron Primal
Damn.....Smolder's combined mode looks really good.
Lumpy
i'm gonna need to buy extra limbs... i just know it...
Kickback
Sold.
Lumpy
you know, i just realized there's minicon ports on each limb... so i can clip on more smaller vehicles to give them the power!

not that i will... except maybe the ones that are weapons...
VaderPrime1
Already has a place on my shelf.
UltraPrimal
Machine gun nipples? I like it!
MegaMoonMan
I really don't want to buy and support this line thanks to the lack of limb robot modes, but dammit - I know I will.
bellpeppers
Still not sold for collecting and display... but these might provide usefull components for kitbashing.
Oracle_Aesir
Oh if only they would come out in the UK
ORIO
I like how smolder also forms upper arms. And that Chopster is combined in there too as the chest armor.

I'm anxious to see Searchlight combined with the aerial drones!
Megatronwp38
I'm still not really feeling these guys. Don't know why, I'm just not.
GENOZAUR
they keep improvingthe cross combiner gimmick well be seeing yuusha brave style combiners sooner rather then later i reckon
Slimaximus
I'm still not sold, combiners should be some of the biggest bots in the TF lines once they combine these are going to be like the same size as deluxe lockdown, its another stupid gimmick when they could make a true combiner with all limbs having bot modes, hasbro is just getting lazy, but I will buy powercore huffer just b/c I want a huffer for my classics
UltraMagnus3786
do all the limbs have robot modes too?
Triggerhappy
I think they all look super-fun and could be the one to sway me on buying repaints!
CH@OS!

it also looks like the minicon hooked to his chest makes it look like he has a robot wang.
TwinSpin
I'm happy it y'all like it. But these do nothing for me. They look ugly - especially the limbs - and no bot modes? WTF H-bro? That aint no combiner to me. Easy Pass - will save $ for the good stuff coming down the pike. But if you like it, enjoy

FACT: In the business world, "budgetary limitations" is a synonym for "lazy."

The limbs do not have robot modes. They have vehicle mode and limb mode.

That doesn't take away the awesomeness of these TFs for me though. I'm definitely going to have to get some of these.
artiepants
Better, but really still not feeling the combination aspect. the hamstrung articulation required by the automorphing limbs just isn't worth the trade-off IMHO.
Smolder looks really awkward combined with the arms at the "elbow" instead of the shoulder too. (although, i suppose that gives him at least some 'faux' arm articulation)
This is just me, but I don't know if i could get past the scale differential between Smolder and Bombshock either.

The vehicle modes of all the military ones are pretty terrible too ~ the missile tank and jeep are borderline acceptable for the scale, but the other 3 are really bad.

that headsculpt on "Bruticus" is hella sweet though, love the sort of steampunky vibe it's got with the rivets and knight-style t-visor.
Sy-Rein
I really cant get into these. However I'm hoping the silver lining to this is the possibility of larger combiners later on, hopefully with fully transformable limbs (ie: robot, vehicle & limb). Until then, I'll be happy with my FP Bruticus (when it's released) and leave these mini-combiners on the shelves for those that are into them.

i doubt it was "budgetary limitations" OR "Laziness" ~ i think they were just going for a certain 'thing' with having the automorphing limbs. ~ i can't imagine the engineering for the automorphing would be cheaper to design or implement then an actual transforming bot/limb (especially looking at the 4-mode minicons).

I think it's just what they were going for. I don't like it, but i "get" it.

Your kidding me, the limbs don't have robot modes? These aren't transformers, what has hasbro become?
I'm not supporting this garbage I was excited at first but not wasting my money on this crap.
Call me old school, I liked it when transformers actually transformed.
Abrogate
I was poking fun at him complaining about the size, not the transforming limbs. I am not really sure if I like the limbs are not, but to be honest I'm more interested in getting cool scout figures, the combining is just a bonus.

But, budgetary limitations does factor into the size. Could they make larger combiners? Sure, why not. But it would take up the entirety of case shipments, leaving no room for non-combining robots to be sold in a given wave, and overrun shelf space in a store, leading to shelfwarming limbs. Not to mention it would require more plastic and more engineering, all things in the budget.

But if they make the combining aspect its own mini-line, it doesnt have to interfere with the waves of the main line product, and thus they can run wild with their ideas for it.
Ops_was_a_truck
I was kind of excited about these when we first saw pictures, but if the limbs don't transform, I'm not buying the combiners. Forget it.

I can't help but laugh my ass off at this comment. It has such a fanboyish "RUINED FOREVER" vibe to it. No offense to anyone, it's just funny.

The more I see of PCC, the less interested I become.
Cax6ton
I'm trying not to like this line. I don't like the non-transforming limbs (even though the spring-loaded gimmick is neat) and the stupid energon-style useless hands/claws - what's he gonna do, wave at his enemies?

On the other hand, the core figures look good, this whole targetmaster/breastmaster/whatevermaster update is great, and taking the mix 'n match gestalt idea above and beyond scramble city-type stuff is very nice. I'm sure Hasbro is proud of continuing the 'collect a bunch of these really cheap figures to make endless combinations" concept, 'cause it looks like it's going to work.

I guess I'll have to see the in-hand reviews and try harder not to like them.
MrJoe
Reminds me of Machine Robo / Mugenbine with out the amazing combination flexibility. I'd take more combination options or "limb" robot modes any day over the auto-transform gimick.
NCStarscream
Please make it to clearance, PCC. I want to play with automorphing limbs.

A highly successful toy company whose recent activities have made Transformers probably the most well-known robot franchise in the world.

They still do, just that the transformation is tied into the limb mode automorphing.

Stab and claw them to death with his claws. Seems kind of obvious to me

I like Power core combiners. Mini Transformers with minicons and they can combine together. But Bruticus can't bend his arms tight?
