Potential Proof of Upcoming Lio Convoy Figure

That would be Lio Convoy, not Razorclaw. And it would be a recolor of Universe Leo Prime, not the Botcon toy.

Also, call me sceptical but are you sure that's not a custom? Because the colors of the hip areas, claws, and tail look a little too much like the original mold's, Leobreaker's coloring.

I wish they wouldn't try to mimic one of the best Beast TFs ever made by using one of the WORST beast TFs ever made.

Just use the original mold, or don't bother.

word. maybe play around with the Robot Masters toy like how the 2 pack classics prime was basically a poor mans robot masters convoy.

personally I'd be tempted to say this is a custom since their are just so many repaints of this guy now, the Leo Prime toy is really close to this guy and he looks like a parts swap between Leo Prime and the original Leo Breaker

i agree, personally i do also think it's a custom, possibly an unfinished one. or at least maybe the stolen toy was taken incomplete and the middle section was "borrowed" from a leobreaker.

I was stading around the display cases at BotCon with a friend of mine when they were adding figures to the afternoon display.

The guy I was with clearly saw this figure in the box of toys they were pulling display items from. I didn't get to see it at the time, but I'm glad to hear now that it wasn't him imagining things.

Now THIS is the Leo Prime I wanted. I'm glad I skipped the first version, if this turns out to be an official product.

If this turns out to be real, I can't say I'm surprised.

Can't say I'd be terribly surprised if this turns out to be real. After all... they are going back and giving us a red Powerglide after fan reaction to the original all white coloring. Granted, it's a TRU exclusive for Universe 2.0, but for all we know... this will likely be some kind of exclusive for Universe 2.0 if true as well. It's not like Hasbro didn't straight up say that they would be doing Universe 2.0 exclusives during the movie line.

As for the Leobreaker colored parts... it's possible that they chose to go with that color rather than gold as they tend to shy away from using gold plastic or paint anymore on their toys.

Interesting, and it does look real, imo. The white looks too perfect to be painted on. Especially in the first picture there. It'll be interesting to see where and when this gets released, as it does look official to me. Probably another store exclusive.

None of the pics I've seen of Powerglide, Hardhead or Skyjack have one of those white tags in front of them with their release dates or anything. I believe it was stated that they may be TRU exclusives in the thread that they were first mentioned in. If you have seen pics with their tags infront of them please point me in the right direction as I'd love some official confirmation on where these guys are going to be released (I've got Henkei Powerglide, but I'll be all over Hardhead and Skyjack.

I believe that was just the reporter's blind speculation/assumption since TRU's had several previous Ultra-scale exclusives, though they were later confirmed as Wal-mart exclusives.

Too bad I don't like the mold.

It's a credit to the people who develop these repaints and remolds that they can make me want to buy such a lackluster mold as many times as I have.

If it's released I'll buy it definitely. Although even as I wanted these colors for Leo Prime from the start, I'm not liking them as much as I thought I would.

Fuck me! This mold again?! Someone at Hasbro loves this mold. I can't believe they're gonna release this mold in the proper Lio Convoy colors after that shitty Leo Prime. We've already got Liobreaker, Nemesis Breaker, Leo Prime, and Razorclaw. What's left for them to repaint him as? Steeljaw?

I can see them working him into ROTF. Especially if they do call him Leo Prime. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, go see ROTF. If they do just that, I wouldn't mind seeing more "Primes".

Assuming this is an actual release, this way they'll maybe get people to buy both. If the white one had been first, I think there would have been less interest in the red/blue one later.

Repainting Leo Breaker not really all that awesome. He's already been repainted like a gazillion times as pretty much every lion TF there's ever been. It's not original. Just make a new mold for Lio Convoy or use the old one. Buuuut, since I don't have this mold (despite how many times it's been repainted!), I might just buy it.

There's no chance in hell this is a custom. That figure is clearly cast in white plastic, even parts that weren't white on Leo Breaker.

I know the mold is crappy, but if I have any spare money when this guy comes out (doubtful, damn ROTF for having so many nice toys!), I may pick him up simply because he's an homage to a Japanese-only toy.

I love the BW Convoys/ Primal but this mold doesn't belong with them. The funny thing is that as much as people complain, all the repaints sell. I've never seen leo prime in stores plus it paint scheme makes it all most perfect to combine with cybertron prime. People begged for Razorclaw. Leo Breaker flew off shelves and skyrocketed in price! I loved Nemesis Breaker paint scheme & the fact it combines with galvatron or galaxy force cybertron prime was a big selling point. Its the only one I display in beast mode and the only transformer I display in alt mode.

I'd prefer that Hasbro gave us the actual Lio Convoy mold like they did with Big Convoy mold when I got Universe 1.0 Nemesis Prime.

With all that said, I may still buy it! Its definitely no where near the worst beast former mold! I think it is good business decision for Hasbro.

Here's hoping for a Hasbro repaint of Lio Convoy as good as Hasbro's repaint of Big Convoy.

Agreed! That would certainly up the value of this one. I also hope they (meaning Hasbro or Tomy) eventually get around to making the Lio Convoy that transforms into Zoids Liger Zero from the comics.

Allow me to restate my previous comment: This mold is no substitute for the real thing.
Save the $20 or so and put it towards the REAL Lio Conoy instead.

Where did all the paint apps go? Looks barren compared to previous uses of the mold.

You know... I have Lio Convoy and I can't say that I like his mold any better or worse than Lio Convoy. They're both decent molds to me and each one has some major pros and cons in my opinion. I really can't honestly say that one is superior to the other at all and I own both molds (own the Leobreaker mold four times over actually and Lio Convoy twice).
