TFW2005 has received official images of Universe (Classics 2.0) Autobot Blaster and Heavy Load, both in and out of package. The images can be seen by clicking on the links below to their Resource Database entries. Also put into the entries are the assortment codes, product codes, and UPC/barcode numbers.

Universe Autobot Blaster
Universe Heavy Load

We have also received information that these two figures will be available in the first three Voyager assortments of the new Universe line, with Autobot Blaster also being available in a Wave 3 revision. Therefore, these figures will be avialable for awhile following the release of the line.

Well, I ended up selling it (and I'm an honest seller, I sent pictures of the problems I had), but lining up the arms in alt mode just did NOT work. It was the nosecone arm - if it was transformed "properly", the nosecone was crooked. If I turned the shoulder joint vertically ("improperly" transformed), it looked right, but the cockpit wouldn't peg in straight.

Am I the only one digging Blaster? I plan to buy him ASAP.

Heavy Load, however... bleh.
I am, but I plan to put a new head on him, and then I'm going to modify the bird into a dino

Doesn't mean we have to like it, or buy them up like sheep.
RavageX-9:
Personally, I just wish his cockpit/shield had more red on it, if not like the original version shown earlier, then at least halfway. His vehicle mode LOOKS good regardless, but just isn't Blaster-y enough. The original version actually kind of had the red clashing with the blue, but it does that in parts of the robot mode still anyways. (notably, the gun) I think the red and blue should be separated by black. On the cockpit, more red could be done while still following that priority.
and yeah, the chest done like the box art would have been a nice touch.

Everyone complaining about laziness must be new to Transformers. You guys over here need to ridicule your newbies more often, or they get away with thinking this type of attitude is acceptable.
There's a huge amount of variation in between "fire the guy responsible for this horrible, lazy crap" and "I am a mindless sheep and I blindly love everything.", so let's not make those arguments either.
Like it or hate it, this is normal. Fans can show support or disapproval, and that has an effect, but the effect is limited by economic realities.

Where?

edit: oh, there they are. I'm not familiar with your layout, so I didn't know I had to search for a different tab. Why doesn't the link in the news post just go straight there? :S
REDLINE:
lemme guess. You just clicked the thumbnail? You're supposed to click the links. they take you to those two's resources page. The images tab on that page has ALL the images, and they're hardly tiny.

Frankly I think the Blaster figure kind of misses the idea of Classics. It's suppose to be a re-imagining of the original characters while keeping true to the original. Megatron was a gun, Optimus was a flat nosed truck, BB was as a little VW looking car. And they all had looks similar to their cartoon versions, only updated. Blaster doesn't give me that vibe at all. The aesthetic doesn't even work with other classics.

I agree with you totally, every classic figure they came out so far has been an awesome remake of the original, yet with Blaster its almost like they got lazy and didn't want to be bothered with another new mold so they just decided to repaint Soundwave and say hey look at the new Blaster!!!

Repainting old toys is a standard practice for all toy companies and not "lazy". Animated is taking up a lot of the new mold slots which is why Universe is only getting a few.
MetroBoy:
I'm still kinda on the fence.

I think with some minor modifications (new head) he might be passable.... but I agree that he still doesn't say Blaster to me.

This isn't exactly the same line. This time we're dealing with the new Universe "2.0", which contains repaints much like the previous Universe line did. Classics is continuing on within Universe, but it is not the model they're following for the entire line.
Besides, the previous Classics wasn't as pure a concept as you make it out to be (lots of new mold Mini-Cons, reissue Soundwave, reissue Anniversary Prime, reissue Pepsi Prime, repaint of Energon Devastator)
Soundwave84:
I kinda want Blaster but i dont know if it is really worth it
Ravenxl7:
Concidering that we weren't origionally going to be getting Voyagers in this line, we're lucky, imo, to be getting repaints of older Voyagers. While I don't plan on getting any of them, I understand why Hasbro needs to repaint figures. For being a straight up repaint of Cybertron Soundwave, Blaster looks pretty good, though I'm not fond of the mold, so that's why I'm not getting him. Heavy Load looks pretty good. I might actually get him, as I've never had the mold before.
DJW107PRIME:
I always wanted another since the only one I had was an action master. I wonder would that head fit or be to small.....
Sso02V:
I wouldn't mind grabbing Blaster to repaint him into a cybertronian mode Movie Soundwave
MrMurder:
i think this is a beautiful piece. don't know why there's so much hate for it.
the ship mode could use a bit more jazzin up though
