Official Images of Universe Voyager-Class Inferno and Vector Prime

Inferno is excellent, thats the most realistic vehicle I have seen so far in Universe. Very impressive. It reminds me a lot of the Diaclone repaints that were in Transformers G1 waves 1 and 2.

Inferno continues to impress.

Like several others, though, VP has gone from "preorder" to "wait to see in-person". Though it looks like we're finally going to get a U.S. release of VP with paint on the wings and sword.

I just noticed something somewhat interesting about Inferno. Only about the first third of his water missile is actually tinted blue, and it looks as though he has light piping, which is a good thing, imo. Also, I can't tell what it is, but there appears to be some odd looking shape on the back of his head. Might have something to do with his head revelation. It'll be interesting to compare this guy in alt-mode to RID Prime.

Inferno is at the top of my list, right along with Cyclonus. VP is...well...I have the Legends version of him and that's good enough. Never really liked his Sith Infiltrator rip-off alt mode.

Really like Inferno, Last Autobot maybe, need to see it in package.

Still loving Inferno, but it looks like Nel Yomtov himself did the colors on VP. I'll get him only because I have Action Master Optimus from the New Year's Convoy set and they'll look great together kicking the hell out of Bludgeon.

I like the Vector prime but Inferno is better! Im loving the looks of Inferno i must buy!

Both are a pass for me. I would rather Hasbro rerelease Botcon Alpha Trion in the Universe line instead of Vector Prime, and the Inferno mold still leaves me cold. The trouble is that his head looks somewhat forlorn without the G1 ladder casing and wings. If his water cannon could convert into a shoulder missile to give him more upper body strength, I might have reconsidered, but otherwise there's nothing I find appealing about this toy.

Alpha Trion mode will never see mass release as it was a Botcon exclusive.

Definitely want Inferno, but I'm going to have to pass on Count Chocula there.

Inferno looks worth the price of admission, even if the photo guys keep forgetting to flip down the crotch-plate.

Vector Prime ... too brown. I still wanna see them try doing what all the customizers did, and put a paint wash on to accent the tons upon tons of molded detail V.P.'s got.

I'm excited for both but I'd have liked it if they'd taken the extra 2 minutes and given Inferno a WAIST and not just legs stickin' out of his torso and having them just separated by his robot junk. Definitely getting him, but he looks "rushed" to me.

EDIT - just saw above that he oughta have a crotch plate. Cool - maybe he'll look better transformed correctly

Vector Prime looks like absolute crap!

Inferno however is pure love, can't wait to get him!

the old pics made him look awesome, these new 1's kinda stink.

I am inspired to do my first repaint.

The goal? Repainting that Vector Prime into a completely silver/black motif.

Inferno is looking good! Vector Prime however dosen't look good with brown legs, but I still do want him. At least he looks better than the original Cybertron Vector Prime or that caramel-colored version of him.

The Last Autobot pics are obviously worse than the previous heavy doctored ones, but I still think it manages to look like The Last Autobot's colors from the comics.

I don't know how some people were seeing bronze or gold in the previous pics though. IMO it has always looked brown.

And as others have pointed out:

Nemesis Prime was/is a Hasbro Toy Shop exclusive debuted at SDCC08.

Also, Botcon Alpha Trion had a remolded head. From what Pete and Brian have said, Fun Publications owns the molds to any new tooling they commission for Botcon and Club Exclusives. So forget about a mass released Alpha Trion unless you don't mind the same Vector Prime head.

Man, VP is hurtin'. So many black paint apps are missing from the stock photo. The bland brown replacing the goldish-copper was the dumbest thing ever. At least they painted his sword, though. It might just be that because his stupid key is in his belly, he looks less colourful and non poop-ish.

Hell, it's a stupid name IF you're a crane, but that's beside the point. Maybe if tehy remoulded him, but he's still a fire truck, not a crane, and doesn't look anything like a crane.

While I can't see him repainted as Grapple, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he WAS repainted into Hotspot.

Yes. And "Hardtop" is a stupid name if your vehicle mode has no roof, and "Tread Bolt" is a stupid name if you're a jet.

Yeah, Hasbro's logic is hard to follow sometimes.

I still think he'll be Grapple someday. Maybe there'll be a remold, maybe not, but I think it will happen.
