my only complant is the numbering on the doors. If they had just rounded off the framing edges so it wasn't an actual textbook rectangle, it would look so much better.

It may not be perfect, but I actually like that. This is one mold I'll definitely own at least three copies of. The brighter colors on this guy will stick out nicely against the other two, imo, and blend in nicely with the rest of my Classics Autobots.
Edit: The only odd thing I can find about this color scheme is the yellow tail lights. While red probably would have blended into the rest of him too much, it would have been preferred, imo. Even then that's a tiny complaint. He's still making it into my collection one way or the other.

Nah, pass for me. The robot mode is a bit weak with this figure, and in my opinion the Hasbro Bluestreak is the best colour scheme for it. This looks a bit too Playskool for my tastes, but given the original deco, maybe that's to be expected?

Guys look closer at the pictures, the numbers are photoshopped- both on the out of package and in package pics. That's part of the reason why they look like ass. Clearly not the final production version yet, just mock ups.

Not bad, but definitely not great either. Thankfully I'm pretty indifferent to Smokescreen as he's never been remotely a favorite character of mine, so I didn't have high expectations to begin with. Much like Inferno, I'll get this guy solely for the sake of G1/Classics set completion but probably never even transform it.

Yep, kind of my thoughts on it. It's still Smokescreen but a little more attention to some details could have made it a lot better IMO.

I think it looks OK. Not a great fan of the yellow on the spoiler, but at least it isn't randomly chromed.
Also, I love hoe the "official" photos have the back of Smokescreen's vehicle mode up like that. Try harder, Hasbro!

I'm not feeling all the hate for this repaint. I figure if you take the yellow off the spoiler and paint his forearms and gun black, he's good to go. Hopefully the numbers look better on the final product.
