SG Collect was at attendance for “The Carnival at SAM” held at the Singapore Arts Museum today. The 300 piece limited resin DFT-01 kit was put officially on sale.
Included with the kit was a pre-cut silver foil sticker, black & white comic, biocard, and instructions.

Where's Jiza-Toys? Sculptor and king of Resin TF kits when we need him?!!
Satomiblood
I'm looking at the pictures of this kit and aside from the paint apps, I don't see anything wrong with the model itself. Is it that bad that it warrants being dismissed as shit? Are the negative sentiments a carry over from the Ultra Magnus head debacle?
Speaking of which, what exactly happened with the Magnus head. I haven't been keeping up with all of the upgrade kits being offered. Someone enlighten me.

I wasn't talking about this figure. SGCollect can keep the shitty thing.
Someone said that Drift belongs only to IDW or Dreamwave, whatever…
Well, Drift is a Transformer, and thus is under Hasbro's control now, even if IDW/Dreamwave want to keep the character.
frilly toothpick
this.
paper drift
Demiserkid
wow I was really anticipating a great looking kit but this is just awful =[
Hi Q
I'm sticking with my own…
Empir3
want it.
[Wing_Saber-X]
NO. Eww. Shoddy workmanship. Shitty no go character. PASS.
Venksta
Since its a low run garage kit, the price seems fair to me when compared to unlicensed garage kits of superhero characters or kits from japan. Though, that is considering if SGCollect will use above average resin material.
evil ivotron
looks great i want one
Automorpher
Amen!
Satomiblood
A lot of hate regarding this kit…
JAYSCREAM
?????????????? ummmmmm this pile of shit seams to be missing any transformer logos or emblems…………..so what was it exactly were you trying to say?
if hasbro are going to go and do fan's choice figures like star wars/g.i. joe then id rather have a lord straxis eh!
nemesis_skywarp
They look awful
And it was told it cost USD80-85 for that piece of junk. You are must crazy to pay that price.
Deadend
I'll wait for classics 3.0 and hasrbo's drift myself.
Awesome sculpt and usage, but it's really a shame it was never made with hasbro's endorsement or licensing like how things are supposed to be done. Without even another Hasbro fig to make it into what it is, it's pretty much just a glorified resin knock off.
Which is a crying shame because this guy would be a beaut in plastic and the right paint apps.
Makes me wonder about some of the allspark products coming too, if they ever bothered to get the rights to do so. Obviously the rubics cube did, but did the rest like the USB hub etc?
The party favors did.
And yeah, Universe and classics are sticking around, it's become a staple of the line now like how joe and star wars do it. Even when a new series comes, Universe will be right there alongside it. Only the movies hiccup that.
Hasbro has a Drift coming too, though I think it's earth mode. One could only hope they do a cybby mode one too though.
Likeness infringements do count on an intellectual property, and Hasbro could do whatever they wanted to make this stop, if they wanted to deal with the process fees.
It's one thing to enhance an already made figure which means you still have to buy the hasbro figure to use the part, it's another to have an outright likeness infringement property usage without ever obtaining the legal rights to do it.
It's just all rather eh. I'd rather support the property so I know my money is going towards more figures being made, and keeping the property alive, as opposed to lining pockets of people who are damaging the franchise by not taking that step and just hoping hasbro doesn't act against them.
It's a fine line between fan helping, and property hurting.
thygriever
looks very blocky to me… but maybe that's the point
Toxicon
This.
GAUGE
Hmm they should have hired Frenzy_Rumble to paint those toys.
They look awful
DrillBIT
and u probably need some good technique to refine the kit to make it look "good" at the end.
cheetorBWORG
If it has the name Transformers on it, it's Hasbro's baby. Drift is now their baby.
Also, I sure hope everyone knows that when the figure comes out, it'll be called Autobot Drift, copyright issues and all.
