We have received official images of the first wave of Transformers Universe toys, both in and out of the packages. While the out of package images have been seen before, these are much higher resolution that the images that were previously reported.

You can check out all the new images in their full high-res non-watermarked glory by visiting the relevant pages of our resources section:

frenzy_rumble:
Wow. Looks like Cyclonus is going to be tiny I wish some of these were at least voyager size...
TRANS+CRAZY:
So are these toys out, or what? My brother and I would like to know, so we could figure out when we could hit the stores.

No. Wave 3 just came out - these guys won't be out until later.

And is the white on Cyclonus painted or plastic? It surprises me Hasbro would use 3 colors of plastic, that's all.
Ripclaw:
i want to see ravage in his alt mode
Optimus Clyde:
Yeah, me too. But I think I saw it somewhere on this site.

More pics added...

yeah on the back of hound in the group pic of soon to be released universe and animated figures
General Tekno:
Does TFW have these yet?

I can't wait for watermark free versions.
Takara_destron:
Cyclonus and Hound are still looking as great as ever.
Im still not digging Cheetor. I'll stick with my BW one.
Fit For natalie:
I really wish TF fan sites (particularly Tformers) would stop watermarking photos they don't actually own.
Ceerad:
Ah crap! Looks like we are going to get that crappy colorscheme on Cyclonus.
The one that popped up the other day was not a prototype.
Trek:
Yeah, both the TFormers images have the watermark just in the wrong place to see ravage clearly!

Very annoying!
S250:
Hound and Cyclonus with Generation 1 Series label, what's different between Universe Classics Series and Generation 1 Series????
Cheetor is Beast Wars Series,Unicron is Armada Series,so they will use the original serie name instead Classics Series?

here is the pic that shows it
General Tekno:
Cheetor looks far better to me, anyway.

Though I kinda want the reissue one now as well... then all I need to have all the Cheetor molds will be this one, Night Slash and the BM Mega.

...though I need a new Transmetal one...

Yup...
General Tekno:
Yeah - we saw those images already.

These are higher-res though.

First time we've seen Ravage and Nightstick's robot modes.

Also, what's the difference between "G1 Series" (Roadbuster/Dirge, 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime) and "Generation 1 Series" (Robot Heroes, Starscream, Hound, Cyclonus)?
AnimatedFan:
Cyclonus and Hound are great. Especially Cyclonus. He's a must buy.
ponn01:
I appreciate getting a little extra with the deluxes like Nightstick and Ravage, but the sizes are killing me

Yeah. Especially with the aircraft...
G1Wheeljack:
Cool pics, I guess now all updated characters will be put under their respective series instead of Classics from now on.
General Tekno:
Wait - what's wrong with size exactly?

Cyclonus' size looks fine to me. About the same size as Classics Starscream.

Or is this another "All planes should be at least Voyager class" argument?
DoubleClouder:
Kinda disapointed on the beige parts on Cyclonus and Nightstick. Still looks like a fantastic mold though!

And what's wrong with that exactly...?

I'll still buy Cyclonus. I just wish we could see ONE series with each toy to scale respective of the others.

Yeah...it's like Transformers have ever had scale be a priority for the toys.

Totally stoked for Hound and Cyclonus. A little disappointing about the paint apps on Cyclonus but it still looks to be a spectacular mold. Can't wait. I really do want to like Cheetor but I still haven't found anything to sway me. It'll probably be a case of 'I'll have to see it in the store'.

More like that he will be in scale with Classics Galvatron, but not in a good way. Having Powerglide and Silverbolt tower over these guys is annoying looking on my shelf.

It makes you wonder why choose someone like Silverbolt when you could have made a Voyager class Cyclonus with nightstick that would have looked much better.

If you want actual SCALE, the planes should at least be Leader size. If not Supreme.
Drake:
Must have Cyclonus and Hound.
Spartan Prime:
Do. Want. Naow.

So... first we have people complaining Galvatron's too short.

And now that he would be in scale with Cyclonus in robot mode, we have people complaining that Cyclonus is too short and should be a taller robot.

I think it is, lol... I have no prob with his size. Especially if having more deluxes/less voyagers translates to more new molds for G1 characters.

Because they BOTH should be bigger, thats the point. I consider them more iconic characters then say Powerglide.

I appreciate what we get, but i'm not afraid to voice my concerns. Thats all, nothing more. After all, feedback is how things get done next time.
Deadend:
LOVE IT! Want them to be released now. >_<

I like the deluxe scale size and pricepoints for these. Makes it easier to have some semblence of character scale among each other to better mimic the original Toon.

I love the fact cyclonus won't be towering over galvatron, just as much as I love the fact that starscream doesn't tower over megatron.

Rethinking about this from a pricepoint standpoint, I'm starting to like the fact that powerglide is an ultra, and Galvy and Cyclonus are deluxes. I'm more apt to buy deluxe's and put off the higher priced bots. Money's tight these days. Kudos to you hasbro for considering this on the major icons! Especially since I need to start saving up for all the movie devastator parts.
Astrotrain52:
Cheetor looks hungry on his box art.

Cyclonus looks more like a rabbit than ever before.

And Ravage looks like he has a bird face.

Will get all of them, providing that Cheetor's arms are mistransformed in the pics we've gotten so far.

Wait...Generation 1 series? So Classics is over, or does Hound w/Ravage and Cyclonus w/Nightstick fit into the classics range as well?

According to pete@botcon, the 2.0 classics aren't in the classics story as of yet, so the changing to G1 etc is probably to better accentuate that fact instead of making us think it's all the same story-verse.

So they are Classics, but aren't.

And while I like supreme bots as much as the next guy, the play value in the different bot mode scales would suck horridly. Keep supremes to the likes of omega, devastator, primus and unicron. Make everyone else deluxe barring gestalt leaders who should all be ultra's now.
Maybe a few voyagers of various planes and automobiles larger than the seekers or trucks and cars... (Like inferno needs to be a voyager, as would a SR-71, B-52, etc, whereas leave screamer, cyclonus and crew to deluxe.)

Larger bots tend to not sell as well anyway, especially in today's times where collectors have bills too as opposed to being able to just splurge all cash on toys like the under 20 crowd fans.
The Madness:
Fortunately for Cyclonus there is seemingly less contrast in the purples due to the lack of flash bulb over exposure.
A definite buy for me, but I'd still like more purple.
Powersa:
Shouldn't Universe Cyclonus get the same purple as Universe Galvatron or is G1 color reserved for the Henkei line?
Fit For natalie:
Cyclonus is usually a different purple to Galvatron.

They've made alot of changes in Hound:

LEFT: Hand-painted prototype. RIGHT: Actual product

For some reason his waist plate is missing on the final toy (and also that test shot last week). The green hinge of the waist plate on the hand-painted Hound would seem to fit into that semi-circle curve in Hound's crotch (where the screw is). Hound doesn't seem to have above or below-knee swivel articulation, so this doesn't look like a simple case of his waist being twisted backwards. Besides, we can see there's no waistplate on behind him.

On the plus side, his arms are now cartoon-accurate and he has more colour variety. Headsculpt looks different, more cartoon-accurate.
Incepticon:
Too bad... the lack of a waist plate really makes the figure look incomplete now. Hopefully it shows up (again) on the final release.
Ceerad:
I say the more deluxes the better.
Easier on the wallet.
Less Room on the shelf.
And it makes the engineering that much more impressive.

Also, Hound's colors look much better on the final product than on the prototype.
Liege Prime:
Hound is a must buy, but Ravage has a pinhead. Tiny! Cyclonus looks great- no 18 ways about it. Cheetor looks like Cheetor. The Legends figures look ok, but I just don't see the market for them since they're going to run probably about $5-$6 and we already have activator and Deluxe toys for most animated figures for only $3-$5 more. Legends made more sense with Cybertron, since they didn't make each character in multiple size classes.

Cyclonus is a generico scifi spaceship.... there is no scale to go by. Also if we are going by real plane scales Hound would be the size of his foot.

And guys like Metroplex should be the size of my house. "Super Duper Extremely Big Class."
dmc2008:
Damn, that final color selection on Cyclonus sucks... I hate the different colored plastics and wish they stuck with a more "silver" tone for his wings/face/horns/etc. like the proto shots. Oh well, I'll def. buy him but between this and Ironhide's face maybe I need to learn how to paint these things...
Also, the nose of the plane should have been purple for crying out loud!!!

What test shot are you referring to? I must have missed that.

If we can't get Nightstick in the right base color, and Hound is missing a friggin' piece, I'll be sticking with Henkei from here on.
ElSnarfo:
Ravage looks horrible! I'm glad he's a "freebee" with Hound and that I allready got a proper G1 Cassette

Cyclonus looks awesome, might get a henkei version if they decide to release one though, but it could just be crappy pics that are making it feel.. unfinished for some reason
