New Images and first auction for TF Club's EX-002 Battle Roller 0801_005
TFClub have updated their homepage with new, high resolution images of their custom TF EX-002 Battle Roller. The new images show Roller in his different variations of his vehicle mode - regular, turbo and Cybertronian - as well as in robot mode with his weapons and posed with Classics Optimus Prime, Movie Optimus Prime, Masterpiece Ultra Magnus and the Masterpiece Optimus Prime (Convoy) trailer.

An auction has also been listed on Taobao for Battle Roller, which includes an image of the robot with all his accessories. The auction reveals that Battle Roller will come with alternate hands, two swords, two guns, and three sections to attach to the vehicle mode for "turbo mode".

Zie:
...he fits with almost every recent prime currently out?

Now I have to get him.
Opticron Primal:
hooooooohohoho........I want this, all this custom stuff coming out recently is awesome. This is what fans like, Hasbro.
Cloudraker:
Looks good. Depending on price and availability, I may buy.
ErechOveraker:
Wow, that's really amazing. I'm impressed!
Mastergeorge:
Rollar
Don't know if this is old news. If is please delete.
knook:
Cool, don't know if I'll buy it though
Venksta:
He comes with different hands, thats cool.
shibamura_prime:
That's SO mine whenever he comes out. And the translucent hands are icing on the cake.
Ravenxl7:
Interesting, though no where near interesting to actually get. He's just too movie-ish for me. A Basic/Scout or minicon would work perfectly well for him, imo.
madman1366:
I LOVE IT!!!

I hope for 2 things here. One, that he's produced in high numbers. Second, that it's price is nice. I'd like to get several of them if possible. Hopefully they'll come with some color variations as well to better match certain Prime figs.

Different colors would be nice. I wonder if it will fit in the classics prime trailer that Tfcub is rumored to be comming out with.
Optimus Scourge:
Very cool!
Trek:
If I had a Masterpiece Prime Trailer I might be tempted by this, as it is it doesn't really fit with the TF's I collect.

Nice piece though.
Powersa:
Looks great but not sure if I need one.
SmokescreenGT:
Very slick looking. I might get him if the price isn't too high.
atlianz:
Sick with it! That is pretty damn impressive!
flux convoy:
That thing is pretty sexy.

Ah! That's exactly what I think!
Wheeljack35:
Its sweet but does anybody know at this point in time if we will see it at bbts.com or any other online store?
wheeljaxx:
i want it. its just far out there enough that i'd go out of my way to get one.

QFT, I want this easily available and at an affordable price.
Superquad7:
I would like to get this and the Alt gas tank as well (though I'm thinking each are made by two different groups). Hopefully, both will be affordable as well as available enough to get 'em.
shade 0066:
If I can find one cheap I would definetly grab one.
Dropshot:
Awesome!!!
kllrwlf:
That looks awesome... my wallets thanks me for not having MP Prime and MP Trailer... otherwise, I would buy this also.
smkspy:
Very cool robot...I'm still iffy on the concept though.
Voiceroy:
Want!

But unfortunately, I don't do imports. So unless some US online store picks these up and offers them for a reasonable price, I'll have to pass.
Ktulu:
Looks quite awesome
vtat:
It's nice. All i want is a roller for my MP-4, roller that can transform? woah... icing on the cake.
Kaijumaster:
I don't know about this one, I mean with thier other sets you had to buy a Hasbro/Takara product to use it, with this it's a whole toy based off a Hasbro property, this might be pushing it.
SMOG:
He's cool... but I'm not sure if he's my Roller.

I mean, sure.. he's slick, sleek and badass... but I've never seen Roller as being any of those things. Not a bad toy, but doesn't quite charm me with it's interpretation of the character (to the degree that you can even call Roller a "character").

Are those alt modes actually based on his appearance in different comics, or did they just sort of make them up?

zmog
alien:
wow~~this really cool stuff, hasbro should be learn this.
protostar8:
I think he looks very movie-ish. Though he can link up with other bots, he doesn't really fit in with anything other than the movie bots when in robot mode. Otherwise, it's a nice piece overall. I'll only get him if he's pretty cheap.
Rumble02:
where can we buy that from?
Railguard:
That looks awesome!! You what would be even better? Prime's trailer so the little guy has somewhere to go.
Grimlocka go-go:
At first i didn't really care for the wheels they used, till i saw the "alt" alt mode, AWSOME. I'm after this one for sure, especially if that's the way the paint will look on all of them. Hope he'll be under $40 though.
Los:
I'm sold! The attachment mode makes him THE minicon of minicons.
Astroscream:
In the pic of roller in the trailer it looks as though he is too wide to fit in Prime's trailer with the sides up.

He is indeed a bit too wide to fit in a closed MP Trailer
shumworld:
man he's gonna look so awesome when combined with City Comander armor on Classics Ultra Magnus.
Bahamut Prime:
Slick!

Chinese TFClub are a different group.

Fans Project are the ones doing the Ultra Magnus and Classics Prime trailers.

This is not by Fans Project. Fans Project are doing the Magnus and Prime trailers. This "Rollar" is by TF Club.

As for them pushing it, not really. At best, you can call it a 'derivative design'. But TF Club designers pretty much got around that by making him look very little like the original Roller (who didn't have a robot mode, anyway). You could argue that its some sort of scfi buggy that turns into a robot. Transformers doesn't have a monopoly on transforming robots.

As long as they don't call him Roller (I'm not even sure if Hasbro has that trademarked) and don't use any trademarked logos or symbols, what they're doing is more or less legal, from what I understand.
alien:
somebody know how much with the international shipping for roller?
sideswipe119:
that is fucking awesome its not in stores though is it damnit
Tman978:
Megabolt? Is that you?
Optimist_Prime:
Both links won't work for me, and . Could I get help viewing the pics please?

It looks like he will fit in the MP trailer using the Cybertronian mode...if you don't mind that.

new photo on ACTOYS show that it can fit the trailer tightl,

revlimiter:
My wallet just screamed.
