How long until we see pics of Dinobot?
I wants to see his bio/final toy!!!

This cunning robot’s job is to distract, disrupt and confuse the enemy. He is a master of misdirection, skilled at making decepticons look in exactly the wrong direction at just the perfect time. More than one autobot sneak attack owes its successs to the skill of smokescreen. He enjoys playing games with the enemy, taking a huge amount of pleasure in the frustration they display.
| It sounds like an e-harmony profile.
Cascadia:
That bio definitely fits Smokescreen.
Bass X0:
There's more to Smokescreen's personality and character than just that though.

highlander3000:
I miss the description of the character's abilities. In this case, the nature of Smokescreen's smoke.
Sol Fury:
Awesome, 1991 is finally acknowledged as a part of G1! Down with G1.5!
Smokescreen's bio is cool, I admit a line about abilities would be nice, but I do so prefer to learn about the personality behind these guys Railguard:
When is he being released?!!

Nice bio. Definitely fits Smokescreen. They could've mentioned something about his smoke, though. I just hope I don't have to wait until Feburary to get him. That would suck. I want him now!!!
Fosterlager:
I'm glad they kept the diversionary tactician job description general. You can distract your enemy in many more ways than blinding them, and a smoke screen can mean a lot more than the literal definition. Peanut04: Quote:

Same here. I would love a bio book covering all the different characters. That would be very cool. Something with alittle artwork and a character breakdown.
Back on topic, it's a nice bio. I'm really looking forward to getting him.
Powersa:
Not bad at all, reminds me of one of these G1 episodes.

I'm really looking forward to getting him. | Dreamwave actually did this with the MTMTE mini - I believe that IDW's put it back into print (it's either in print or going back into print). The sourcebook is actually very well done (if you can get past the Dreamwave-era crouching Pat-Lee style art)
And then for the Beast Wars info, there's the inferior Sourcebook IDW did.
Peanut04:
Yea, I remember hearing about that when it first came out. If I remember right it wasn't very well recieved, I could be wrong though. What I'd like to see is something like the sourcebook, but something that covered every era from G1 to the new movie coming out next year. Maybe it could include a bunch of unused sketches, toy, and prototype pics. Something that ran the full gambit of our hobby.

Something that ran the full gambit of our hobby. | In terms of writing, it was quite excellent (especially compared to the woeful IDW Beast Wars Sourcebook), but the art is another matter. Pat Lee's art is terrible, as always, and poor Don Figueroa's work suffered, it is suspected due to pressure from art director Rob Ruffulo for him to adhere to Dreamwave's "House Style", and/or simply due to the sheer number of characters he had to draw.
As we note on the wiki's article for MTMTE G1, evidently there was a conscious effort on Dreamwave's part to suppress attempts to convey personality of the characters in the art, hence so many characters crouching, dancing a merry jig or jumping in mid air.
