By dropping the silver deco on his Flare Launcher, its made him more G1 accurate, bizarrely enough (G1 Sideswipe's gun and missiles were white instead of than the vac-metal silver that most of the other Autobot cars had).

Anyone know if Sideswipe will come with two blasters, one handgun and the other for his shoulder cannon?
I like the difference in Transformations for Sideswipe and Sunstreaker... One uses the hood for a chest, the other uses he windshield... basically turn the head and legs around... And I like it!

How would anybody know given the toy doesn't exist? One would assume that IF Hasbro were to do it, it would be a store exclusive... or a regular release. Who knows.

Their chest were different in G1 that's why.

Also, I fully expect a Red Alert at some point. It even looks like they were thinking ahead. Replace the engine thing on top with a lightbar and voila!
I'll be getting an extra Sideswipe and Sunstreaker so I can kitbash a Tigertrack and red Sunstreaker (who needs an official name in SOME country).
Now Clampdown, Deepcover, and the police Sunstreaker are gonna be a little more difficult....

I'll be attaching them to his robot mode the other way up from how they're pictured, to better simulate a rocket pack. Probably display his car mode without them.

For those that don't like the head, you do realize that Hasbro created a different head for the same mold, right?
In the past we would have gotten red Sunstreaker but he would have been named "Sideswipe".

My sister actually got Sideswipe for Christmas when we were kids.......how that happened I still don't know since she did not ask for Transformers!?! I like the way this one looks will probably get it but not right away!!

He'll have one handgun,but it can combine with the roofmounted supercharger into a large weapon for his shoulder,i tried it with sunstreaker.

In my opinion, he's a far better use of the mold than his brother. The red is a more typical color for the sort of car he is, and his head is much more humanoid than his brother's odd crest. It's even looks better in proportion to his body.
