| New Henkei Galvatron And Ironhide Images |

The images show the two figures sporting chrome decos as well as a more G1-esque scheme for Ironhide.

Totally off topic, but with Takara catching up so quickly with all of the Classics & Universe figures, I'm kind of surprised that they still haven't done anything with Cliffjumper yet. I understand not wanting to touch White Magnus, but I figured lil CJ would have been out by now with similar 'updates' as Bumblebee.

Ironhide has some definite improvements over the Hasbro version, but the only one I care much about is the better-matching paint on the windows (and maybe the smurfy face) I think a Universe toy and a bottle of paint will be a better investment for me.
Galvatron ... Well, I think I know what they were going for, but I can't say I care for the 'anime' light purple and I KNOW I can't stand the chrome chunks. Then again, since Universe Galvy was a big disappointment to me in ways no color scheme could fix, it's no big deal either way.  heshanj:
i think i'll get hasbro's galvatron, but oh NO...WHY did they have to do so much better on ironhide?  i was waiting for this guy next month, even with the smurf face..but now i gotta wait for the henkei

I think the chrome looks appropriate on ironhide. may have to get this version, he just looks so much better than the universe version.
Galvatron is still meh to me.

Ironhide looks much better the windows are alot darker and with the right lighting it appears to be transparent, but my observation. I think I'll still get Hasbro though. As for Galvatron he looks the same, but its so-so for him.

While it looks good, it just doesn't justify the extra money for me to buy one, imo. I like the Hasbro one just the same.

So Henkei Ironhide goes on the list with Henkei Sunstreaker and Ratchet. I'll probably stick to Universe for Sideswipe, Bluestreak & Hound (depending on how good the plastic is).
So far as Chrome goes, the only character I think has really benefitted from it is Mirage - looks awesome with Chrome feet - and since his original G1 launcher fits (just) he looks even more awesome. In a chromey way.
I just love the fact that we get 2 decos of each figure to choose from. I'm about 50/50 on the figures so far.

They probably don't think they're market would be happy with him that way. This is all just conjecture, but I'm willing to bet it is one of the reasons they haven't done him, as they've released other recolors/retools with no problems (Crystal Convoy, Wildrider, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Ramjet, Lambor, Streak, Ratchet, etc). Hasbro is the only one that has released a red Bumblebee as Cliffjumper, Takara's WSTF was just Red Bumble and not Cliffjumper.

Ironhide is sweet! The chrome on his gun doesn't look bad at all and the windows are a lot less garish than the Hasbro one. Galvatron is ok, but I can settle for the Hasbro one... the chrome looks silly on him.
I would imagine that their Ratchet will hopefully be like this as well if Ironhide's color placements are any indication. (Are we even getting a Ratchet over here for Universe?)
I can feel the power of the Japaneese versions slowly creeping their way into my otherwise Hasbro Transformers collection.

Ironhide looks perfect. I would've chromed the front bumper as well, but his chrome actually isn't that bad.
Galvatron looks like a puddle of ass, though.

...maybe e-hobby will pick that idea up?
(Of course, I might eventually get the Henkei one, and say that it's II anyway.)

Alright, that did it. Ironhide has now been officially preordered at LAF Toys. I've been cringing at all the shots I've seen of the American one, with the AWFUL blue face and "Allspark blue" windows. I still can't understand how Hasbro screwed this one up so badly?!? I'm starting to think they purposely chose to make one figure out of every wave look horrible just to throw a bone to TakaraTomy. 
Ah well. I'll pay triple the cost of the US one, but at least I'll be proud to have this guy on my shelf.

Why can't Japan get Galvy's purple right? He's too light and not dark enough. I'll still buy this one, provided TakTomy puts some metal pins in the all those places where things fall off.
Henkai AHRNHYDE is so supperior to the Hasbro version it's terrifying. And I'm not one who normally drinks the Takara lemonade.

It's great that Takara actually painted Ironhide's face silver like it should be on the hasbro version in the first place but I don't really see the point in paying so much extra money when I can just paint his face and windows on my own for a 5th of the cost..Takaras chrome is just weird and out of place as is the yellow stripe.
As for Galvatron, I already have the Universe version and I think that it looks much better than this henkei version.

It's like a faded metal-like blue......on the face (which isn't that noticable) and windows (which I agree, does look out of place) *sigh*.....maybe I don't see what you guys see. As been said, Takara's Ironhide looks miles better than Hasbro's attempt.
I wasn't gonna pick up the mold at all, but these pics just made me preorder it!

I guess that's a big HAH at whoever thought Takara would make a superiro Galvatron. that thing isn't just NOT 100% G1, it's also boring boring ultra boring.
Ironhide, however, is awesome, even for a Universe mold.
