They don't have words that express how much I love this line. I can't wait for Bluestreak, Sidwswipe, Hound, and Ironhide, and I'm praying to the gods I may/may not actually believe in that they finish off the trio and give us Smokescreen (with neckless head resculpt)

you know, everyone's been raggin on the Prowl mold (which is awesome btw, don't know what all the fuss is about), but admittedly, Bluestreak does look better. He will be mine

That toy looks fantastic. I'm still torn on which version looks better (Hasbro or Takara). I guess I'll know when I have them both (right now I'm thinking the Hasbro version).

He looks so much nicer than Prowl.

a vast improvement, with any luck thepaint usedwon't be as tacky as that used on prowl which after handing seems to be smudging and merging with the black.

I really dig it! My only complaint is the white face...it does not blend with the rest of the toy. I'd paint it silver with some black wash to bring out the details.

Very nice. So much better then Prowl colourwise that it's not even funny. Then again, that's the same case as with Sunstreaker/Sideswipe...Guess it's that white/yellow plastic/paint curse that has been troubling Hasbro lately.

That being said, I'm sold, gimme Smokescreen ASAP.

I warmly applaud the revival of Universe 2.0. (Although I would have preferred this line to return as "CLASSICS")

Though the paintworks are lousy, these new characters really pack a punch. I buy the Hasbro pieces to open up & the TakaraTom version for M.I.S.B keeps.

Hopefully the paint will be better on this. It's such a shame, the Prowl mold is so awesome but after one handling the white paint on the doors and front quarter panels has been rubbed off.

I am eagerly awaiting Silverstreak and Sideswipe. However Ironhide is who I'm really drooling over. I just hope the paint quality is better than what's been seen.

Y'know the elevated neck thingy don't look as bad in those pics. I am a little surprised they didn't paint the face silver. No biggie. Nothing i can't fix myself.

I like it even though as with all other HASBLO PRODUCTS the paint aps are craptastically Placed.

I miss old HASBRO when stuff was quality and quantity vs. cheaply made overly produced shelf warming chunks of thin brittle plastic.

Back on topic though: Bluestreak looks good.

i'm gonna buy 2 so I can paint one to more closely resemble the very rare DIACLONE Version.

He looks great. I'm sold on it. I love all the little extra paint apps he has. I just hope he doesn't have that sticky paint problem like Prowl.

Dammit - that's a million times better than Prowl. Now I really wish I'd waited instead of falling for the false charms of sticky paint Prowl.

Bluestreak is very nice here. Nicer looking than Prowl. Maybe I will mod Blue different than Prowl to set then apart.

I love me some classics repaints! Acid storm is awesome and silverstreak looks bad ass.
I always thought of the old school Datsun Fairlady Z type Autobots as their version of seekers. Bring on Smokescreen.

I'm just glad he doesn't have tires for kneecaps like Sunstreaker... also glad his vehicle actually looks like it came from an actual car manufacture, unlike Sunstreaker...

It does look awesome - Bluestreak was my first TF, so I'll be picking this up as soon as I can.

So far as Prowl is concerned, I think the mold is only let down by how cheap the plastic looks. Since we're paying around $21 a figure in the UK, I'd like the toy to feel a little less cheap - the wheels especially.

Still, I do love the engineering and the pose-ability, it's a real rush to get this level of articulation on the classic characters. Really enjoying this line, and I'll probably buy most of the original figures they come up with (repaints like Blaster aren't of much interest to be honest).

Yes, it is a shame. Because Prowl was one of my faves growing up. I just hope Takara's isn't made with the same shoddy paint and KO-esque plastic.


Anyways, on the topic of the neck. Did anyone scroll down further to see some pics of his neck/chest/head assembly? I can't read what the posters were saying, so does anyone know what they were saying? The reason it looks so much better in the neck area might be due to a mod?

Sunstreaker isn't SUPPOSED to look like a specific Lamborghini model. He's an amalgam of at least two different models, to avoid licensing issues. But if I saw that car for real, I'd know the only company on Earth that could have made it was Lamborghini.

Total agreement here. Besides, it's not like current car based robots (exceptions being the licensed Movie vehicles and unrealistic Animated vehicles) don't look like actual cars, even though they have differences to avoid licensing fees.
