Fansproject has released a series of new images through TFClub, showing the various accessories and weapons that will come with their two Crossfire sets. In addition to the all-new designs for the right arm and leg, there is a variety of weapons to arm your Combaticons to the teeth.

Also shown is the final combined mode of the Crossfire sets, revealing the full extent of the add-ons, replacing nearly 50% of the original combiner's body for a more Generation 1 style look.

Click on the link above or the title of this story to check out the images, and be sure to visit our sponsors to place your preorders if you want to own these add-ons. Preorders for Big Bad Toy Store can be found here and preorders for TFSource can be viewed for Set A and Set B.

New pics found at TFC

Lumpy:
those images are sick! i love how the weapons attach to the smaller robots... so much creativity...
GreenScream:
Those new images are making the wait that much harder!

And the Energon figures look pretty decent all armed up next to Munitioner and Explorer.
Prime Evil:
Ok, Superion is sooo gonna get PWND by Bruticus it's not even funny!!

And Fans Project FTW of the decade and it's on the 2nd month of the new decade.
adamthered:
That's sexy.
Tiller:
Dear god. They just kicked the literal shit out of their Superion set. The weapons, the new shoulder range of motion, the two new molds, the hands, god the hands. The only flaw I don't think they could totally amend is the fact that the legs are too close together, but the ankle movement helps. I think I just wet my pants. Perfection.

Oh wait...it's not yellow...
Solrac333:
DAMN!
process:
omgahhhh <3
GENOZAUR:
GIGGITY

dude i think i just creamed my pants just looking at that deep fried piece of toy gold
chrisr291:
Now I just hope the release date doesn't get pushed back.

Oh and whats up with all the "ITS A KO, DON'T BUY IT, IT DOESN'T SUPPORT HASBRO TALK"?

Who gives a crap, Hasbro was never going to give us a real Bruticus, a real Ultra Magnus, a real Springer. This is what Hasbro Gave us

1. A toy named Bruticus without hands or feet
2. A toy named Springer that is really another mold
3. Painted Optimus Prime white and called him Ultra Magnus

Come on now! Stop the nonsense, just let it be. Nobody is going to undo their preorders because the Hater Cult of Transformer fans says so.
Fort Max:
Except animated Ultra Magnus which is not only a fantastic toy but elevated his character.

They're doing a new Bruticus, for a fraction of the cost, will it be as cool, almost certainly not but Hasbro don't make toys for fans with money to throw around, they make toys for kids and the prices are aimed at them and their parents.

Springer, who knows, it's not like they've never surprised us before, personally I'm not keen on Fansprojects take on it, it's the weakest thing they've done so far so I hope that Hasbro will come up with a new springer one day soon and if it's on the same level as Voyager Inferno, Bludgeon and Seaspray then I'll be very happy with it.

These new pictures are very cool indeed, the madly huge weapons look a bit silly on the individual team members but I don't care, it'll be staying in Bruticus mode for most of the time.

Excellently said! Also of note is the fact that you need the original Hasbro product in order to make anything of these products. Granted you have complete Swindle- and Blast-Off-like figures, but you don't have a Bruticus without the original Hasbro release. Just like you don't have a real Ultra Magnus without the figure under the armour.

I have never understood why Hasbro haven't released armour for Ultra Magnus like they did with the G1 character. Sell a repainted Voyager Prime with a trailer/armour at the Leader price point. I'd buy it!
Alung:
Omg....the pic where they are all equipped with their weapons....!!!!

as I! If hasbro made these products, we wouldn't need FP or anyone else for that matter because they would have satisfied us.

Thats true, except Animated Magnus came out after the fact if i'm not mistaken. Classics Magnus was released in 2006, while Animated Magnus was released in 2008. Besides, I think given the choice, Classics/Henkei collectors would rather have a "Classics" Version of magnus rather than a Animated version.

When was the original Magnus upgrade released by Fansproject anyway?

Precisely! It seems they went backwards with the Classics Magnus. For something that was meant to be a G1 update he's seriously lacking by not looking like Ultra Magnus (except for that one time in the Dreamwave comics that we won't talk about...).

Except that the mold wasn't designed to be Magnus, so it's pretty moot.

Hehe... the "Hasbro vs. FP" posts are so silly.

I support both.

G1.

Not Dreamwave, G1.

I was just as pissed/disappointed as anyone that we didn't get what FP eventually gave us, but it is wrong to say that "it's not Ultra Magnus" and/or "it's not G1". (You're by far not the only one, just the easiest one to reference.)
Shin Densetsu:
JESUS CHRIST that looks FUCKING AWESOME!

No, but it was eventually repurposed as Ultra Magnus and making a trailer/armour (like was done for the G1 mould) for him would have been nice.

I'm not saying that it isn't Ultra Magnus or that it isn't G1. What I am saying is that in the G1 fiction, he was portrayed as wearing the trailer armour and that, because there is no trailer, he doesn't look like G1 Ultra Magnus. My reference about Dreamwave was to show that he had only been portrayed sans the armour on that one occassion.

I merely want him to look like Ultra Magnus rather than Optimus wearing the spore-resistant metal.

As for that Bruticus, never has the term Big F**king Gun more appropriate!
Robogeek28:
Ok I'm sold...just preordered a set. Now to somehow find a reasonably priced Bruticus set as well.
Omnius:
Wow, do want!

And I need to buy a Bruticus too.

And being an exclusive, any hope of that went out the window, as if there was any hope at all. Plus, the figure wasn't designed for it. FansProject had to get really creative for that to work.
MegaMoonMan:
I'd like to see some more Onslaught vehice/robot mode pics with parts attached - I don't think we've seen a robot mode pic of him yet.
Sammael:
Can't wait for painted pictures. I hope the colors work with Energon Barricade, Blackout, and Kickback (which are closer to the G1 Bruticus colors than RotF/Universe ones).

True enough. It's a wish, a fan's hope, a dream that Hasbro be better than they are. However, I would like to believe that the designers at HasTak are at least the equal of those at FansProject in terms of ability. If not, Hasbro and Takara need to start hiring the guys at FP.

I'd imagine they would use colours that are universal for all the different variations. The colouring (gray!) on Superion was designed to fit all the different releases.
Bgrngod:
This is an absolutely obscene amount of win.
sanchomaul:
hhhhhhholy crap thats nice!
Megatronwp38:
Wow, this is truely fantastic. These guys are pure win and fantastic. I am going to have to clear out a spot in my Ikea deltof cases for this guy when I get the upgrade kit.

Hasbro and Takara have the same skills to make awesome stuff like FansProject. The reason they can't most of the time, is that they have to market their figures to kids, and design within child saftey laws. Where as FansProject does not have that restriction.
ZeroEdge:
Sooo...many...freakin....GUNS!

I've always wondered - what's to stop Hasbro from making an exclusive "collector" figure or two that doesn't need to follow those rules? Not worth their time?

I guess with the MP line, they already do.
ORIO:
That is the sexiest thing I've seen all day. And I've already looked in the mirror!

The market is not big enough for them to produce exclusive toys for the general public (especially 13+).
Pavol Palat:
I did not like the Upgrade kit for Superion at all, but this set is a must!

I am, of course, aware of that. My point is that armour to make a repainted Optimus Prime into a screen-accurate Ultra Magnus has been done before by HasTak and is surely something that can be repeated in a child-friendly way. This might just be a case of me being an awkward bugger, but I think that it would be easier to market a figure as Ultra Magnus if he looks like him.
Slimaximus:
I really can't wait to see painted pics, this is just pure awesomeness and I'm so glad I have it pre-ordered and already have the target bruticus for it
Mr. Sparklebot:
Holy shit... now that is a hell of an upgrade! If only I could afford it...
SmokescreenGT:
Pure
deliciouspeter:
I truly love it. Everything from the hands to the way Swindle's feet lay flat.

The ONLY thing I'm not crazy about is the Bruticus head. It's great, but it just doesn't look like Bruticus to me. More like Prime.

But this does kick the shit out of their Superion kit.
Ezilla82:
FansProject, you never cease to amaze us with your awe-inspiring engineering and this really does scream Bruticus. No matter if the jeep isn't called Swindle or the shuttle is called Blast Off it just screams it, but I think people are still going to call it Bruticus and those robot those names I just mentioned because its nostalgic to Transformers in general. So am I picking this up maybe not, but only time will tell.
DeathStorm:
Sometimes I'm sad I only collect G1.
Mechafire:
Holy shit.
Josh:
beautiful!!!!!

man i really need to track down the ROTF Bruticus set now x___x
*Soundwave*:
i like the new fansproject logo too
Scantron:
Looks great, definitely looking forward to this release.
TFormerfan:
Thats awesome but I can't afford this because I already pre-ordered sprin...I mean... Defender... but his is a great upgrade. Hasbro needs to know what a real figure is.

EDIT 4/25/10- I preordered it...
