those windows seem less obtrusive on Ratchet than on Ironhide. Must be the white. Also:

That robot mode looks really nice. The vehicle mode looks nice too... from certain angles, lol. Still, looks a lot better than Hasbro's, in my opinion. I hate how they put random flashes of colour all over the vehicle modes. Hasbro seems to be incapable of making a car in one colour, like you know, ordinary cars. They always have to have crazy stripes or tribal markings all over them.

Marvel had a red head with a white crest which neither feature unfortunately. With that said I prefer the white head with a gray crest rather than the white with red.

I've now got a few Classics figures but this one looks like shit - Henkei or Classics, Iron Hide or Ratchet.
Car mode looks like a jigsaw - the panel lines make it look nothing like a real car.
The chrome here is just badly done. Chrome lights? Yes, very realistic.
Robot mode - when I first noticed the screws on the arms I thought they were on backwards. Spoils what could have been an "OK" robot mode.
... I like the head mold though.
One day Iron Hide and Ratchet will get good toys.

The only Henkei fig I will buy. He looks great, except his head colours are screaming to be the Marvel red helmet/white crest. The whole colour scheme would just look so much more complete with those colours and not that ugly blotch of grey. Those red roof parts need some white paint. Quote:

steve. | While I don't disagree with the rest of what you said, chrome on the lights is actually realistic, in a way. While the actual headlight bulb and the lenses that cover them are obviously not metallic looking, the headlight assemblies themselves, which takes up most of the visible "headlight" area, usually have a shiny metallic finish. I had actually thought that it was a clever place to use the Henkei chrome applications.
What would be better is if the area behind the clear plastic headlight had been chromed, rather than the entire clear plastic piece... but I guess it must be cheaper to do that way, with the way vacuum metallizing works.

There's no way the Universe one would have so much nice detailing than the Henkei...

1. Head crest is grey
2. Lightbar is red
3. Red stripe doesn't have that Movie/Animated spike
4. No red coloring on front hood
5. Blue windows are a better match to the windshield
6. 'Help Us' license plate is missing

what is up with the big red plastic top on an otherwise white truck mode,
both Universe & Henkei look stupid with that part not molded white.
and what is with Takara at least, not painting the rims on him and Ironhide?
i'll probably get at least 2 universe versions and G1 customize one, so at
least I can get one version of Ratchet 90% of what he actually should look like.

thats not the real henkei figure, we've seen it be for, and besides thats not even toon accurate, the real giveaway is the red shoulders, and the missing autobot symbol on the vehicle mode, just ether search the fourms or google Henkei Ratchet you will see what I mean!!!!!!  and also today is my  0R10N P4X: Quote:
